Majesty Experiments part one! (picture heavy)
« on: November 23, 2014, 02:13:56 PM »
So, I have a mismatched bait Majesty who will become king of the Zebracorns someday, but right now, he's my guinea pig.

Experiment one: Lemon oil
Spoiler
This one was suggested by my mother as a homeopathic method to getting rid the little brown spots.

Spot before

injecting the oil under the "skin"

Spot after. Teeny tiny bit more clean, but no noticeable difference.

Experiment two: acetone

New spot!

acetone injected under skin

spot lightened a little, but not enough to be seen without microscope.

I did also do one that was acetone and lemon, but I recorded it rather than taking photos which apparently doesn't work with my computer. It lightened it a little, but still not enough to notice.

I have held acetone to marker before and it has lightened.
I continuously soaked a cotton ball and placed it down on the spot. I even left it overnight, and it worked for that. This wasn't a bait pony, but as  it was under a hoof I said "let's go for it!"... :ninja:
Since majesty is a guinea pig, you could give that a try.. I used 100% acetone.

He's been through a lot XD These spots are mold/cancer. He's had a bleach bath, been scrubbed with Retro dolls simple and intense cleaners, and attacked with Acetone both on surface and under the skin now... I use 100% acetone too  It's helpful. I'm going to cut the spots out, then modify him, so my next one can be soaking one of the spots.

Curious to see as to what the soaking of just be spot does. I've been tempted to do that with a very baity pony...but I love him too much.
Might be different if it was a white pony because I could sunfade and then fill in the hole with something equally as white..hmm,... :devious:

Once I do find a way, I'll have to redo it with a colored pony to make sure discoloration isn't an issue.

Very interesting! I cant wait to see how you get on.

I can say that acetone "injected" will work - but you have to repeat it regularly and unfortunately the age mark does come back. Essentially you break down the stain but more bromides release through the imperfection which causes further staining.

Waiting for more experiments :)
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Awaits for the thread when Majesty has melted into a puddle from all the chemical experimentation... tee hee hee. :wink, wink:

Good luck with your trials, I hope you find something that will work. :o)

lol! considering one of the soon experiments is seeing what a microwave does to it, that would be possible. But Majesty had his surgery the other day, and all cancer spots were cut out. it makes it easier to measure the loss of plastic if there is any.

Yeah, make sure you separate the head from the body when you nuke her or I'm guessing you'll have a not so nice result. I've baked my fair share of ponies in the oven at low temps, (I always separate the head from the body, there can be cave-ins) but I'll never put one in the microwave...

Okay, so I'm somewhat admitting defeat but not in the way you think!

I cut the spots out so that I could better document any loss of plastic, and I think they got thrown away. So! I need a new cancer pony! preferably one with a lot of spots, and if it happens to be a Majesty so I don't have to add on another pony name, even better! until I find a new one, I can't do any more experiments :<

Also, the old Majesty is doing great after "surgery" and is well on the way of being king of the zebracorns.
