I personally count the sea ponies.  I count all of the "soft plastic" brushables, including the pony friends.  The ones I don't count are the Petites, plushies, and Dream Beauties.

That said, IMO your collection's "complete" when *you* think it is! If you don't want to count sea ponies, you don't have to :B.

I think they count- but it is OKAY to not collect them!

After all, with all of the country variations and then the OOAK Nirvana ponies- it is actually IMPOSSIBLE to have a 100% complete collection...!

Haha I have the same conundrom with plushies, I know they are a part of the Hasbro pony collection and all, but just not for me- I say "your" collection of ponies is almost complete, with seaponies as an addition (technically not ponies haha ^_^ )

I completely agree with most here. Its your collection - if you feel its complete without the sea ponies then its complete

For me personally and for my collection I do include them. They were part of the main line therefore for me are included.

If you want to collect *every* pony ever made - including friends like Kingsley and the like - then yes, I'd include them.  They count as g1 MLP.

Personally, however, I don't count them because i don't particularly care for them.

Haha!  Looks like the majority say yes they count, with a second of 'your collection is complete when you say it is, if you don't like them they don't count'. Only problem is... I DO like sea ponies. Guess I will have to celebrate when I get the last two "Earthers" ... and then again once the sea ponies come along. Because I don't want to wait that long!    *snerk*

Your collection is complete if you have everything you want but if what you want is ALL G1 ponies then sea ponies definitely count as they are a part of that line.

I do count them, however I haven't really started working on any of the sea pony sets. I'm choosing to leave those until last. However it's your collection so if you don't want them you don't have to, you can just say your collection of real pony ponies is complete

I got three babies that I like. I'd like the 3 UK adults as well, with shells. Then I'm done.  I think it depends how you phrase it. "I have finished my collection" is different to "I have a complete collection of every US release".  Bear in mind that once you do finish your collection it might be like the end of a good movie so I'd hold off as long as possible. I'm not realistically going to get every Dutch and German pony that I want LOL so for me, the story never ends.
