US Backcard Story

Moondancer was sleeping peacefully. Awakening
with a start, she found Twilight beside her. "Cotton
Candy is missing!" said Twilight. "Have you seen
her?" "Cotton Candy should go on a diet," yawned
Moondancer. "She ate my favorite bluegrass and
my prettiest wild flowers. I put her in hibernation
until winter!" Twilight was stunned. "Free her from
the spell, Moondancer. Her friends are worried!" "Is
it winter already?" teased Moondancer. But she
freed Cotton Candy from the spell and even called
the West Wind to give her a ride home.

Here's is Glory's US backcard story from My Little Wiki


Glory was looking for a special friend, a friend who believes in magic. One day she came upon a grand castle and saw a beautiful young girl sitting by the pond. Glory made an unusual sound. The girl turned to look at Glory, then ran toward her, arms outstretched in greeting. "I dream about you every night. Are you really here? Oh, please, please be here!" she exclaimed. Stars shot across the sky as Glory nestled her head in the young girl's shoulder. Glory knew that she had found her special friend - her friend who truly believes in magic! 


At first I was thinking who is this girl (It can't be Megan) and where is the castle but then I saw the UK version which says Glory can travel to and from different kingdoms so it makes more sense.

Lol, when I got my MOC Moondancer back then I was sooo delighted, because Moondancer is one of my fave ponies ever ... and then I read her backcard lol. My delight got a little down lol. "What mean girl did I just buy?" lol.

LOL!!! I have read Glory's backcard before too! xD I thought it was weird that she 'made a weird noise' and met some random girl. Is the girl from another dimension or distant land? Aaaaand if some girl i have never met before ran up to me and said they dream about me all the tine I would freak the heck out! 0_o

Quakers. I have always thought Quakers story is weird, like somepony was doing dugs with talking raindrops and seeing rainbows.....

Here we are!
Quackers gazed at the droplets of water dancing
down the window pane. "Come play with us," they
called. Quackers donned her raincoat and hat and
hurried outdoors. "Race you to the Waterfall," the
raindrops laughed. To Quackers surprise, little
ducks were swimming happily in the pond as
raindrops sprinkled around them. Quackers had an
idea! She blinked her twinkle eyes and the
raindrops magically changed into all the different
colors of the rainbow. Pink, blue, green and yellow
raindrops fell everywhere! The duckies laughed
with delight as they ran back and forth through the
colorful rain shower. Quackers joined her little
friends in the pond, splishing and splashing away
the rest of the afternoon.

Like.... someone might have accidently ate some one too many magical mushrooms in the feild! xD

Munchy's story is a good one. She makes hotdogs and hamburgers out of baseball bats and baseballs if I remember correctly

Bubbles' story is cute but she got her name because she was muddy and needed a bath.

"My goodness, I think you need a bath!" she exclaimed as she poured her favorite bubble bath into the waterfall beside the stable. Soon bubbles were everywhere, twinkling in the sun and floating on the gentle breeze. "Perhaps I put in too much bubble bath," she thought. "Oh well, she really is very muddy." After much scrubbing a beautiful, yellow pony emerged from the bubbly water. "I'll call you Bubbles," said Lemon Drop. Bubbles just smiled. She had found a new friend.

So, Bubbles is like Flower from Bambi?  "You can call me Bubbles, if you want."  . What was her name before that?

Hmmm... Mud?

One bright sunny day when the clouds were dancing in the sky, Wavedancer was surfing in the ocean with the other Sea Ponies. They would ride a big blue wave all the way in to shore, then merrily swim out to catch another. One giant wave they caught carried them up, up, up... all the way up to the prettiest cloud in the sky. They played up in the cloud for hours, then slid down the rainbow and landed in the ocean with a big SPLASH!! 


How can a sea pony play in a cloud? 



So Soft Twilight
"Welcome to my costume party!" Twilight greeted her guests, dressed like a movie star in a glamorous gown. "Who's that in the space suit?" Locket asked from behind a colorful clown mask. The ponies were having fun guessing the new arrivals and sipping punch when, suddenly, the lights went out! "Time for some midnight magic," Twilight giggled. She wiggled her ears and all the candles on the table flickered onto the floor. They danced a beautiful waltz as the punch bowl bubbled a merry tune. Delighted with the surprise, the ponies joined in for a midnight dance by candlelight! 


So SS Twilght can make candles dance and punch play music?

Good gravy, the backcard stories are WAAAY different than the cartoon and comic takes, those were the things I usually went off of when I created personalities for toy characters!

So Glory can manipulate the fabric of space-time and travel to different dimensions? That's... awesome, and it just makes me love HRE more. I wonder if TE Bright Eyes can time travel?

As for the other stories... good lord, what were the writers on? Are we sure this wasn't the 60's when these things were made? Still, they're a lot better than the 'Sparkleshine Dazzlebutt has pretty hair and loves her friends!' that we get with virtually every g4 character now.

OK, I was giggling at these, but lost it at the idea of Sparkleshine Dazzlebutt.    Maybe the same folks are writing now as did back then, but they are a few more apples short of a pie?
