POLL: If Hasbro mass-produced blank ponies...
« on: November 19, 2014, 09:03:50 AM »
So let's say that Hasbro started producing a fair amount of blank pony bodies (maybe even without hair) and made them available for purchase at art stores, hobby shops etc.  They make male and female molds of earth, unicorn and pegasus ponies in two poses each - so 12 molds altogether.  Perhaps just white bodies, or maybe a handful of base colors to choose from.

Which generation would you most want blank templates from to work with for customization purposes?  I ask because I know G1 and G3 are most often used, but if you had to choose only one generation to base the molds off of, which would it be?

I think most of us would do some pretty drastic shopping if they produced blank big brothers, so you're going to get a lot of votes for G1 ;P like my vote

but, on the offchance hasbro looks at this....I would be interested in blank G4 princess molds

g3s are common...and they did do a blank G3 already (white with white hair)

I voted for G1 ! I just think they are the prettiest 'molds' with all the different poses etc. Maybe it's just because I am so used to G1s, I'm sure others would be great too! G4s would be a lot 'cuter' I think. Heheee

I'd go with G1 or G4 on this one.  More so G1.  G4 has a lot of potential when it comes to molds and different body types, they just aren't doing anything with it...

I voted G1 because I would buy all the boys in my area love to see the guys in more than just earth poses. ^^; I almost said G3 because I'd love if they went back and made boy molds for that generation.
Creatively cute and proud of it!  Have a very good day, [you]!  ^.^

I voted for G1 but I'd say all of 'em. G2 could use a little love, too.

I think G1 for sure. There are blank G3s you can still buy in the Hasbrotoyshop, and there are so many G4s that it is not difficult to find a white one these days- but G1s are a lot more tricky.

I would like G1s to customize. They are by far my fave generation, and since I prefer to restore bait G1s rather than customize them, I would finally have some G1 bases to make customs from!

It's a toss-up between G1 and G3 for me. G1 would be the best to work with as it's the largest, so there'd be more space to work with, but I feel that given my preferred art style and taste in designs, the G3 look would complement them best. I would invest in one of those blank G3 molds but the front legs on it look like the shoulders are broken and it kind of makes me really squeamish to look at any ponies in that pose...
