Today I get a pack from ebay, with two Ponies I want to restore
The first a Baby Buttons...

This was my First idea too. But the head was sealed to the Body and the hair and material is exact the same.

I have seen that type of fakie before  :)  The same strange head body combo and all. I know I have seen it in more than one colour. But never with that symbol.

Not much seems to be known about these little guys other than the fact that their country of origin is Spain. They appear to be quite rare as well, so you are lucky to have it!

I bought mine from ashlyne at the MLP Fair in Indianapolis, and she told me that she got it from a Spanish seller in a lot of nirvanas on eBay. The seller didn't know much English, so she couldn't ask questions about the fakie itself

Ok, then we know, that body and head actually belong together.
I think the symbol looks like "Kreuz" / cross from a card game.

Comparing with yours,  I noticed that mine has a reverse eye-painting...tat gives her an evilish look... :lol:

Thanks to your picture I also know, that the painting on mouth, ears and nose is original.

I'm really happy that you mentioned card games too, because that's exactly what I see as the symbol as well. The symbol that you Germans call the Kreuz is what we Americans call the Club, so I named her Poker.

At first the head and neck confused me because they don't look as smooth as they should, but I'm sure that they're supposed to be together. Oh! And did you notice the little swirls on the knees? I think that's my favorite feature about them- it makes them look so chubby!

Ashlyne pointed out also the fact that they are really similar to Spanish piggies. I wonder if maybe they're direct knock offs of those, or at least related?
