G1 Trickles Symbol Help Please

Hello,

Recently I upgraded the Trickles in my collection and will be putting the other one up for sale soon.  As I was looking at her last night her symbol looks different from the new Trickles to the point I'm wondering if it might not be touched up.

Here is a photo of the ponies together.  The one I am keeping is on the right and the one with the wonky symbol is on the left.

Any opinions?  I should mention her plasticizer is leaking.  She is slightly sticky and getting hard.  I'm wondering if the symbol might look like that as a result of the leakage?  I just don't want to mislead anyone I might sell her to.  Has anyone else had this happen or have one that looks similar?

It looks to me like her top coating of glitter has rubbed off, leaving a "painted" surface behind.  Personally, I would guess that it's original and not a touch up.

Agreed, it's too patchy and worn to be a likely repaint.  Usually when people restore Trickles they either paint evenly and/or apply glitter.  I think she's just had all the glitter (and some of the paint) rubbed off.

I think the one of the left is a MO version. They have much finer and much less glitter than the original releases. I would keep them both!

Well that would be n interesting development!  If that's the case I do need MO Trickles so I may just do that HC.
