Trying to pamper the Zebra Brothers - need help
« on: November 06, 2014, 10:04:27 AM »
Um, I'm not sure if to put this here or on the Dollhouse, but since these aren't dolls...

So I'm a fan of a now forgotten cartoon named Hero 108. After all this years, I've been lucky enough to find figures of my favourite characters of that show, the Zebra Brothers

Sadly, my figures have a few mistakes that I'd like to fix

The poor things can't even stand up, but that isn't my biggest concern about them (they look like 'mmmm, delicious eraser!')

The white one has got a poorly sealed back, and I think I'll need to sand a bit his small leg. It looks worse than in the photo

The black one looks worse. He's got this ugly gap between his mane and his head, and looks like he's balding! And he's got a sloppy paintjob on his mane and some glue residue on his ear

By the way, they look so lifeless... isn't possible to make them a bit cuter?

I know this forum's speciality is ponies and not figures, but I don't know another place to ask this. Thank you very much for your attention

I'm going to kick this to art, because I think they may be able to help you better.

Those are some cute characters, actually! Sadly I'm at loss for ideas... If you want to make them look cuter and more accurate to the show, I think repainting the eyes could do wonders. The white one looks rather sarcastic in the ref pic, adding the eye lid might help making the figurine look a bit more accurate. Good luck. :)

I've never heard of the cartoon, but I like the looks of those characters.  Could you maybe weight them down a bit so they don't flop onto their faces like that?  A careful repaint or touch-up would probably help bring them back to life a bit too.
