I can't stop drawing ponies

My husband wants me to draw something else, but why, I say, why!? :-) It seems I can bang out a picture a week, which is really making me happy. I'll just link to my latest one, Moondancer, and then you can check out Glory, Butterscotch, Bluebell and North Star. Who will be next? :-D

Uninu, exactly! Drawing ponies brings me a lot of joy right now and I look forward to making a new picture each weekend

I hope you start drawing ponies again Twisted River. I stopped too for years. There are some on my DA from 2003!

Bubbles, thank you The backgrounds are a little hit or miss (like my PhotoShop rainbow ) but the Moondancer one is the direction I would like to go in. I used something called PanPastels for it. They are a little expensive, but last a long time. They come in cases like make up and the applicator sponges are pretty much make up sponges. The colours can be mixed, but it's best to go from light to dark. They are a nice alternative to regular pastels.

Butterscotch and Bluebell really inspired e wwith their colours. I have another sketch with all six that I hope to colour soon.

I agree, you should draw what inspires you most and makes you happy.

The Bluebelle and Butterscotch pic is adorable, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in a similar way that looking at the original MLP artwork (back cards etc.) does.

I also love the dramatic night sky in the Moondancer pic and the beautiful sunset colours in the Glory pic! The softness of pastels is perfect for the nostalgic MLP look.

Why would anyone want to draw anything besides ponies?    I love the shading on North Star.
