Do you know what ponies you have?

G1: Yep!
G3: I don't have a very good grasp on what G3s I do or don't have, I'm afraid. Don't know the names of half of 'em! 
G4: Good here too.

I have an inventory so yes, I know who I have and who I need. Whether or not I can remember off the top of my head is another matter, hence referring to said inventory relatively regularly uttering the words "do I have you yet....?"

I pretty much know what G1s I have, though I'm terrible at remembering official names for ones I gave different names to as a kid, G2s I don't have very many yet, so you'd think I knew and I know them by what they look like but I'm still terrible with the names. G3 sadly no, I've gotten a lot thrift store shopping and haven't had a chance to really go through them.
And G4s are basically the same as G2s for me, I know what they look like but quite a few of them I can't remember their names.

I get confused a lot with mine, cause I buy and sell so much. I had a big collection back in 2007 and then sold them all off. Sometimes I think I have a pony when I don't.  The G3 ponies are the ones that I have the most trouble with. G4 I don't cause I have all of them still. G1's I do at times.

G1 - I know almost everyone I have, except for the few that I always seem to think that I have but I actually don't, lol.  I'm almost certain that I'd be good to commit to a purchase without consulting my checklist.

G2 - I know about half of who I have, but I couldn't tell you most of their names.  I only have about 20 G2s at the time, and suspect that when I get to the point that I'm more actively collecting them, I'll be better at keeping track of them

G3 - I can't say for certain that I know who I *have*, but I can tell you that I know who I still need.  I'm down to the last couple dozen ponies for G3s - yay!

G3.5 - Yes, I collect them, but not the newborns.  I know I have almost all of them now, but I don't know which variant of which pony I still need.  I still need my checklist for them.

G4 - I know some of them that I have, but with all of the slight variants that there are (and I am a sucker that collects variants...), I'm only comfortable getting new releases without first consulting my list.

G3's- See G1.
G3.5's- More than I would like.
G4's- Yep.

G3-Oh boy.. i know some of the names.. i need to find them
G4-Oh yah.. again.. i love these almost as much as g1 I think i have most of them.

Of course!! I can't remember where I put down that safety pin a couple minutes ago. Been searching everywhere for it but I can tell you every single pony I have and every other collectible.

Yup. I recently got my act together and figured out all my unknown G3s then I made a list with photos so I won't forget who's who.
G1s-I know all of mine. I've got 7 G1s and some on the way.
G3s-I now know all of mine. 9 with 1 on the way
Fakey-I know who made it and that its called a Fantasy Pony on my receipt.

Nope. I thought I had a pretty good handle on things because my collection honestly isn't that huge, but ever since I put a majority of them away and no longer see them every day, I'm pretty embarrassed at how easily I forget. In my defense, it's because I really love holiday themed ponies and they're what I collect specifically, and after awhile their names all start to sound a little interchangeable.

I remember most of my ponies, although sometimes ponies I got in large lots are overlooked or mistaken for someone else, I tend to guess who is in bad pics and write that down in case ponies are missing when I receive the package - and sometimes I'll think it's the guessed pony that I have and not the actual pony that came, things like that.

G1 I tend to remember pretty well, they usually need a good clean up, so I bond with them as I clean them, and g2's are still relatively low in number, and are mostly childhood friends/grails, so I remember those. G3 i do struggle with sometimes, which sunny-someone or twinkle-who? also the similar colour-combinations. I have a really good picture ref on my phone that I refer to though, so I don't buy duplicates. G3.5 I tried but didn't like them so I have them all for sale and won't be buying any more, and G4 I only buy 1 of each character so that's a nice low figure to keep track of, although I do buy BB's, but again I have a pic reference to keep track. I do also have a checklist, and a written 'book of names' which helps my memory by chronology of purchase.

G1s - Mostly!  Couldn't remember if I had a particular sparkle baby recently, though...
G2s - I think so...
G3s - Uhhh.... I have A LOT.  They're the hardest ones for me to keep track of.
G4s - Yes.

I only collect G1 and have 199 (just waiting for a few orders to come to push me over the 200 mark)
