Funko Princess Luna & Celestia pre-order @ Hot Topic! Arriving November

Neither of the two Hot Topics in my area had Luna. One of them had plenty of Celestia's though. I was hoping to snag Luna too today. Such a shame.

I called the Hot Topic that's closest to me, because a few workers at the other ones have told me that this particular one tends to get shipments of things before them.  Well, no Luna so I'm assuming none of the other 5 have her either.  I did go to Hot Topic anyway, just in case.  I ended up grabbing the 6 inch Discord Pop figure and a Power Ponies t-shirt.

This won't stop me from calling every day!

Happy to report I FINALLY got my Luna and Celestia figures. I asked the manager how many figures they got in- she told me very few Lunas (gone almost immediately) and no Celestias. I was hoping to check for glitters but that's kinda impossible when they don't have either in stock. Their Funko selection was pretty bad too but I'm assuming they're cleaned out from the holidays, so I'll just check back from time to time.

I did have one disappointment though- my Luna's horn was bent. :\ At this point I'm too frustrated by this whole thing to argue with them about it and there seems to be a shortage of the figures as it is so I'll leave it be. Just a word to those still looking for Luna, she can have a bent horn and it's near impossible to tell while she's still in the package.

I know I'm really really wary of ordering anything from HT at this point. I know the strike wasn't their fault, but the terrible customer service was. Good luck to those still searching!

I'm sorry about your Luna's horn. My celestia had a badly bent horn as well. I was able to fix it.

Boil some water and then have a bowl filled with ice and some water handy. Place the horn in the boiling water for about 45-60 seconds. This will soften the plastic. Then immediately place her into the ice water. The horn should straighten right up.

I had a nightmare that Funko started making crazy Limited Editon/OC ponies (both regular & glitter chase!)...and they were all exclusive to McDonald's, because they thought selling at McD's would be better than HT...and, while ordering food, I saw they had Sailor Moon-themed ponies...and 10 different Wonderbolts in various poses...but the customer service was awful & none of the employees knew how to answer questions...and when I said I wanted the Glitter Queen Metalia Sailor Moon pony, the McD's worker just stared at me...and it was *right there*, but she just didn't understand and started taking drive-thru orders.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I THINK ABOUT ORDERING FROM HOT TOPIC NOW!

LoL, I was considering placing an order for 4 Lunas, went to bed, and my brain went crazy.

SAILOR MOON PONIES?! I NEED THIS TO HAPPEN even though I have two custom Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter ponies using Rainbow Dash and Applejack as bases.

So yeah, it sounds like you uh...went a little crazy last night. I hope you slept well. 

Although now I'm tempted to buy some cheap Funko ponies on eBay or something and customize them into Sailor Moon characters.

I love the boiling and ice trick for Tia's horn! I have a NMM figure with a bent horn, I want to try this trick!

Thank you Kitzka! That's a great tip, I will definitely give that a try. I did manage to bend the horn back in place a bit so it's not as bad as when I took it out of the box but I didn't even think about trying to boil it.

I don't want them to even touch the comic book characters until I get my Chrysalis!  I kinda doubt they'd go into comic territory without doing more characters from the show, though.

I got a glitter luna today!   She is really pretty in person.  I had to drive really far to pick her up but it was worth with it. 

I have now ended up with an extra glitter celestia.  I would love to trade her for a glitter rarity.  How does everyone go about trading glitters?  I always post in the trades forum but no one ever responds.   I wish we had a glitter trade group or something   when I come across extras I don't want to sell them for money, I just want to trade for a glitter i need!

I wish I had a extra rarity to help you out. I need celestia. If I find one I'll hit you up. I have some luck finding glitters but have never found extras. Haven't even found all of the ponies in glitter form in the wild.

My HT haven't even gotten Celestia in store.

Not sure what area of the country you all
are in. I'm in the north east and one of my stores got luna in on Saturday and the other got luna in today with another order of celestias. So keep checking.
