Destroyed?  You would think that they would donate them to Toys for Tots or Goodwill like Target does.

That's the hypocrisy of it all. They promote the Toys for Tots thing, but destroy a lot of merchandise that could be donated. But eh, despite working for them I only ever bought their exclusive Spitfire and Bon Bon when they came out. HT has been better at distributing them and have the better prices when taking into account their constant BOGO sale.

I have been trying to figure out if they were going to keep carrying them or not.  Some of them are clearanced, others are still full price and they say they are still getting them.  Even the employees couldn't tell what was going on with them.  Especially since some share numbers and some are different?

Apparently Hot Topic's site lied to me and Luna hasn't shipped out yet.  I sent an email earlier today and got a reply saying that my order is still "processing".  Oh well!  I guess I'll just look out for an email telling me that she's arrived at the store sometime next week, hopefully.

SO I think Nov 4th was a type-o.

Check out Hottopic.com now, now it says that the street date for Luna is November 24, 2014
Weirdly, Celestia is listed as November 25, 2014.

Whether they changed their mind (due to a late shippment) or never had the correct date on the website to begin with (fairly likely)- I wouldn't expect to see these now until late November.

Well that's good to know.  I guess that means my money for the order won't be coming out of my bank account when I get paid this week, like I thought it would.  That's actually a good thing because I have a pair of concert tickets I need to buy tomorrow and I don't wanna be totally broke.

Thanks for sharing that! I still need to go hunt down Rarity though But at least I can buy the weird brushable princesses this paycheck and save for Lunas the next. I'm not used to having so many ponies I want come out at once! There was such a drought for a while there.

I emailed Hot Topic yesterday about that and the response I got was "We apologize for the miscommunication. Your order is currently in warehouse status meaning it has not shipped yet.  These items won't ship until 1-2 days from the street date."

My order still says shipped on the site, but at least now I know that the figure hasn't actually shipped.  I'm assuming Luna and Celestia will be sent together now that their street dates are just a day apart.

Had a feeling it was a typo. In a way, it didnt make sense for Luna to be released so early ocmpared to Celestia, when past Funkos usually arrive in pairs.
Still is a pain to wait, though. xD  And I just realized those two will be released on Thanksgiving Week.

Looks like the hot cash earning just started too but it won't be redeemable until mid-January so this is probably the best deal before they come out.

I'm not really surprised the the street date for Luna was a mistake... At least it'll give me more time before the glitter hunting for her begins  I'm still searching for glitter Rarity. Those of your orders that are showing as shipped already should really be fixed though

Even if it's just a day difference, I still hope the'll ship mine separately (to avoid import taxes), but probably it won't happen.

Whats weird is I asked about the release date and Hot Topic told me it was correct... sucks we won't have her until later now, not completely shocked though.
