Need international shipping help (both buyers and sellers replies wanted)

Hi all!

I've been going through some rough times (seems quite normal by now) which is why I've been on and off here.
However. I wanted to sell some of my ponies and I wonder how have you had your  items shipped when you've sold from Sweden to overseas? (or if you're the buyer - how were they shipped?).
I'm looking for the best alternative for the buyers here as shipping is SO EXPENSIVE when I check the PO and I can't seem to find any good (read cheap) way to ship bigger lots of ponies.
Up to four-five adults seems fine in our "gift envelope"s but after that the prices just go wild!

Does anyone have any good way? Any recommendation at all?
I really want to be able to offer decent shipping prices. 
I mean.. who will buy 8x$3 ponies and want to pay more than double that in shipping?

I have not purchased from Sweden in a long time, so I am of no help there. I know shipping has become outrageous no matter where you live. I think people are used to it by now though.

Hopefully one of our Swedish members can be of help to you though who have experience sending larger items.

I'm tha same as Ponylady - I'm really not sure now - in fact the last swedish person I bought from was you and that was before the prices went crazy - everywhere - as PL said.   'd like to help if I could but all I can do is give this a for you and hopefully other Swedish members will be able to advise you better. Also I hope life starts treating you better soon too! *hugs*

Shipping from Sweden is really expensive! 
I agree with you, small lots of common ponies will be hard to sell because of the shipping.
Single common ponies in good condition might be easier. There is always someone looking for that particular pony and they might be willing to pay the shipping if they find "the one". A Moonstone with good glitter symbols, a sunshine pony with good condition hair, etc.

It really sucks that shipping is getting so expensive. I don't think Sweden is alone though, other european countries has the same problem. The Netherlands is one example. I just noticed shipping from the US to Swe is much higher than it used to be too. Kind of depressing as it makes selling and trading harder for all of us..!

I've bought ponies from Sweden earlier on this year, don't remember the postage being any worse than it is from anywhere else! I don't think it'd make a difference really, people know to expect high postage prices these days I think! I go on the price of the pony, so if that's a reasonable price I'd worry about the postage after.
