Well pooh. {Pullip}
« on: October 14, 2014, 01:40:20 AM »
I've had my Pullip's in storage for 18 months or so.

In that time my precious and rare Type 2's have degraded further. :(
Most of them now have yellowed faces. Can this be fixed?

Retrobright is a concoction used to restore yellowed plastics - usually on computer equipment, but people use it on other toys and it doesn't seem to take the paint off - it might be worth trying on a small spot first to see if it helps. http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/

If you go into the second Gallery page, there's a lego block flag that had been treated without affecting the paint - as well as numerous keyboard keys :P

Pearl Drops brand toothpaste is used to de-yellow vintage Kenner Blythe dolls so I think that would be fairly safe on Pullips as well. The Retrobright stuff is stronger & might give better results. Good luck!

Depending on how deep the yellowing goes, they can be sanded  . Type 2  girls just aren't standing up well to time unfortunately
