Some of you already read about this in Playbill, or saw the news online (here's the link). Our heads explode just thinking about it — after years of talks we're actually going ahead with producing an immersive Broadway-bound musical of The Last Unicorn! For lifelong theater-geek Peter this is a dream come true (and even cooler, he's going to be collaborating on the book and lyrics). For early details, check out the Playbill article. And if you can get to New York this Sunday night, buy a ticket and join us at the 92nd Street Y for the big public announcement of the project. Peter will be joined by producers Josh Duhamel (yes, that Josh Duhamel), Lauren Sands, and Connor Cochran, plus book collaborator Ed Rutherford, and there may even be a long-distance contribution by co-producer Fergie (who has been an ardent Last Unicorn fan since she was 8 years old, so working on this musical is a dream come true for her as well). We're going to be making some history with this one, and we'd love to share it with as many of you as possible right at the start.
I wonder how they are going to do the Unicorn?
I want to be excited about this, but...Fergie. Ugh.
