Who collects ponies how many

I have 28 g3/g4 ponies (including plushes) and 18 fakies.

Generally the mlparena and trading post websites/forums are where the collectors hang out. So I'd say a majority of the people who hang out here and the tp are collectors.

it would be great to see who is on the mlparena. So as people post how many ponies they have. do you all mind if i tally or calculate how many there are of you.

I think someone did the how many ponies everyone has before but it's been a while.

I have no idea how many ponies I have in my collection and I have no desire to count them, but I know it's over 1,000.

I haven't counted in ages but I think I must be at around 200 ponies, roughly 30 EQG dolls, 40 plushies... and there's so much more to get in the decades to come! Really, your family don't believe that there could be other collectors? There are 7+ billion people in the world and I think we all collect something, ponies are not that strange when you consider any child who loves toys is capable of growing up into an adult who still loves toys.

I generally assume most people here are collectors of some sort or degree.

Personally, I have 220-ish G1s, 50-60 of all the other generations together (that may be an underestimate), plus some playsets, plushies, and a bunch of other miscellaneous mostly-G1 items. It's mostly all in boxes in my closet though; I'll display them eventually, when I have a place with fewer windows (and fewer roommate who would mind!)

I've been collecting ponies off n on since childhood, stopped for a while and started again when they began making G3s and I've also restarted a G1 collection

5 G1 ponies and
2 G1s on the way

If you're looking for an exact number on members, just click on the 'members' link in the menu bar above.  When I checked it was 14,971, it's growing all the time

Only has G4 ponies and my collection is very small.  Only eight ponies.  Isn't much of a collector but I do get ponies that I like.

Depends.  I wonder how many collectors are counting their bait boxes and what not. 

Me, I like my collection small. 

In hand, exactly, I have 117 ponies.  Exactly, right of this moment.

Of that number, 99 of them are on display. 

Another 8 are in my bait box.  All whom are clean and mostly prepped for whatever their fate may be.

Another 8 ponies are mostly nice or either for sale, or need some small bit of restore. 

I have 2 more baits running around.  One is totally MIA, a beat up Honeycomb who I think is trying to avoid the sunfade tub, and a Sugarberry I'm fairly certain of her location. 

Now, I do have some ponies who will soon be on the way.  My gal is bringing me a bait Dazzleglow, and a UK Sweet Clover.  SQUEE.  And I just bought another Taffeta from Miss Iris Patch who will be making her way here next week some time. 

I used to have somewhere near 300 ponies, but I did a major shrink down as I discovered very quickly I am not a catch them all collector.  I am still in the process of selling some off I don't much care for, so I'm always in a flux.  I don't see myself ever going over 200.  I've kind of accepted that I will have to stay climbing towards 150 if I hope at all to continue to collect.  I have about 10 or so of those display ponies that will one day end up my next sales thread, but my wish list is quite large as far as Nirvana ponies go.  << >>
