NEW Welovefine Deluxe Figure Discord and Fluttershy

Is this figure still $100? *sigh* I REALLY want one, uuuuugh but not for THAT much monies..... maybe $50 I will think about it.

So these are still up for pre-order on WeLoveFine-

But they were also up for pre-order on MidtownComics for only $80 (have since sold out)
and Entertainment Earth has them for $99 plus free shipping..

So did Welovefine make more or did they off load a bunch of figures that weren't selling to comic stores at a discount?

All the Welovefine figures are also being sold on a site called "Archonia".
I use it to get my Funko ponies and was quite surprised to find them there. The Fluttershy one is about 94 euro.

I'm going to go with the latter. It wouldn't surprise me if this figure didn't sell well considering its price.  Heck, even us hardcore collectors were like "No thanks" when the price was revealed. Couple that with the fact that a lot of people are still avoiding buying anything directly from WLF, too.

I dont think I would be surprised by either to be honest. This was very pricey for what it was and I honestly do think the willingness to spend so much on pony merch is a little more on the wane than it was a couple of years ago. Not to mention so many people distrusting WLF on their releases. Disappointing to those who initially purchased that resellers are selling cheaper.

I guess I also wouldn't be surprised at either- although considering that midtown comics was selling them for $80 (and their stuff is usually not very cheap) I have to assume Welovefine sold either the first or some subsequent release at a significant discount.

I would definitely rather buy from a comic shop that Welovefine... I wonder if the prices will drop further at some point?  Hope so! Even $80 is expensive for a hunk of vinyl, lol

Yeah i agree with it being most likely a "we made more than we thought would sell, so let's allow these other places to sell it as well".
If this figure had came out years ago back when there was the huge "Brony Boom", it would have sold out pretty fast. But nowadays, unless it's something custom made or a SDCC exclusive, I can't imagine too many people willing to shell out so much on a figure like that.

That is a real bummer for the people who payed the $100+ for it on their site, since other places are selling it cheaper.
