Help with cut up Venezuela pony? What do I do?
« on: September 30, 2014, 01:41:02 AM »
Hello all, I won a gorgeous yellow and blue Venezuela Blossom and I knew she had slices in her legs, I was just want to know if I should try to fix her? It's thin slices but they do go through deep... :(
It's just her front legs, but I'm concerned that they may come loose.
Should I try some glue? Just on the inner parts of the cut so it's not on the outside? Anyone have any tips? Please help!

She is so pretty in those colours

I have seen other people glue their ponies back together, but I am not sure what sort of glue they used.

I would be inclined to glue her back together as well, but if you do, make sure that it's a glue suitable for plastics.

A good modelling glue is a good idea. You get special ones designed for soft plastics for long term and visable use :)

I'm not sure what sort of glue would be good. Perhaps ask in customs? :)

What a lovely pony. Those colors are beautiful. ^^

My husband uses this glue for the plastic models he does. In the tag it says it works for most plastics like PVC, polystyrene, also combined with other materials such as wood, cardboard, paper, ... Not suitable for Styropor®, PE or PP.

If you have a modeling store nearby take them the pony and ask them what glue is best.

I am inexperienced with this type of dilemma, but I'm wondering if perhaps you could use a toothpick to encourage the glue to get all the way inside of those little crevices?

Good luck on fixing your beautiful pony!
