Price check on three G1 playsets and a bald Mountain Boy

Hi there!  Can I get some price checks on some items?  I'm moving at the end of the month and I'd reeeally like these to be gone before then.

Bald Tornado

He had his hair buzzed down to nothing when I got him, so I pulled out the plugs completely.  I meant to rehair him but never got around to it.  He also has . . . permanent marker lipstick!  I haven't tried sunfading, etc.  It's actually applied rather nicely, all things considered.  He also has some minor scuffs and a pink mark on his hoof, and some of his feathering is a little discolored.  Not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. He also has a little "gappiness" on his neck, from the glue seal being broken.

The Schoolhouse

The schoolhouse comes with the accessories shown:  two pencils, two books, one desk (discolored), globe without stand, part of jumprope, glasses (arms broken off), two rulers, xylophone, and one xylophone hammer.

Also two mint green window frames, but one tends to fall off.  One of the hinges is broken on the pink "slide" window.

This is the mail order set, so it actually didn't come with Peachy, but I had a bunch of spare Peachys, so I added her to the lot.  Comes with the original box the Pretty Parlor was sent in.  (But unfortunately my mom, not realizing it was a vintage box, wrote "Pretty Parlor" one every side of it at one point.  Oh well.)

The cardboard nametags are still "attached" to each other, except for Lemon Drop's tag.  The accessories are in their original sealed bags.  They appear to be all the usual Pretty Parlor accessories EXCEPT that Twinkles the cat is not included.  The door has some discoloration.

My sister found me this set at a local store very soon after I started collecting--sometime in the late 90s.  Very cute set.  Part of the "catch" mechanism (see fourth picture) has snapped off, but it still shuts securely.  Also I saved the bit that snapped off.  It's in the yellow ballet box right now.

That's some super nice lipstick he has, if I didn't know better I'd think he was supposed to have that. 

Also wondering how much the Baby Bonnet School of Dance goes for so watching this lol.  That BBE aged so well~.

I don't know his actual value in that state but I would pay at least $25 for him. My MB guys are all body-perfect and I paid $35-50 for buzzed/bad hair. And I am interested in purchasing him.

I'm interested in your Pretty Parlor!   I have one in similar condition but it doesn't have the shipping box, and I think that's really neat    Price-wise, it's hard to figure.   It's pretty much the same Parlor as the regular release I've seen.   If you're willing to part with it for $60, please let me know.

I would snap up ashlynes $60 on that Pretty Parlour I would price check it up at that $50-60 mark but not a lot of people are going to be willing to pay the increased value (because its a proven mail order item) because the set is so similar to the much less expensive regular release.

Baby Bonnet School of Dance - not a great seller for some reason, personally I think its adorable - $20-22

Schoolhouse - because you are in the US - $15

I am digging Tornados glam lips! I agree with the $22-25 mark for him

Thanks Hathor!  I am going to take up ashlyne on her offer. 

Since several people have expressed interest in Tornado in the thread and in PMs, and since I don't really feel right picking one person over another, I think I'm going to stick him on eBay with a starting price of $9.99 and just let his price end up at . . . whatever it ends up at.

If anyone is interested in the Schoolhouse or the BBSoD please let me know, I'm moving at the end of the month and trying to sell the playsets before then.

And yeah, I'm really surprised at how well Tornado's lips were applied!

Oo! I'd love to see pics.    I collect these things and don't think I've seen one without a UPC.  I'll have to check later.

I guess it could have had a "pretty" box inside the cardboard box?  I'm not the original owner, I got the set off eBay.

But it would be a pretty tight fit it there was a second box because the cardboard box fits the Pretty Parlor, like, exactly.

BTW, I will reply to all the PMs and to this thread about the other items (Schoolhouse, Baby Bonnet School of Dance, and Tornado) when I get more organized (tonight maybe?).  I'm in the middle of a move and it's just crazy right now.  Sorry for the wait!

The mail order set I have is also from ebay. The owner said it never had a product box, just the brown shipping box.  I asked them if they still had it, but they threw it away because it wasn't interesting and it had some damage.

It was released several times via Mail Order though. We know some of the other MO playsets sometimes came with a box and sometimes without (I had the Buggy both ways a few years ago before selling) so I always assumed it was the same for the Pretty Parlour. Earlier on in the MO line there was much more effort put into the MOs - birthflowers with cards, collectors pose with paperwork - later on they became a bit lazier. Perhaps the lack of packaging was part of that change as well?
