We got her as soon as she came out, although they had no hats so had to wait another few weeks for that  :rolleyes:

Clare usually tries to make the hair on these BaB ponies look as close to the cartoon characters as possible, although sometimes there ain't a lot of hair to do so especially with big hair-do's like Pinkie and Fluttershy! Still, they look pretty good, but AJ didn't look quite right to me, so today she got a slight makeover . . .

That's better for a start! The hat is just a generic cowboy hat for the bears so isn't really the proper one, so I drew round an egg cup and cut out the notch in the front. Next up was a couple of bright red hair elastics (if that's what they're called? :shrug: )

Now she looks like AJ  :cheer:

The only thing still bothering me is the ear loops that hold the hat on, but it won't stay on her head otherwise  :wonder:

It might be possible to loop the elastics around some strong hair grips (the long ones hairdressers use would be ideal, I think. I'm not sure exactly what they're called, but they kind of look like crocodile clips), and then clip it into her mane?

I love what you did with her mane! The red hair ties look a lot better then the sparkle red bows BaB was advertising as her bows(they arn't very Applejack, sparkles?)
You might be able to use a elastic string (like the kind on children's halloween masks) hot glue it to the hat and have the string go under her chin, might stay on a lot better and look nice :)
