Can Ice Crystal's stripe fade?

Can Ice Crystal's mint green stripe fade over time?

I guess it can if you put it out in the sun, but I don't think it will otherwise

Yes, as mentioned any colour can fade given exposure to the right conditions and time. But this green is not like that from Dabbles or a green equivalent of fading pink, it would quite a bit of effort to fade it.

Thank you Tornado and hatorcat. I was just wondering if it could fade because my Ice Crystal's green stripe is a little lighter at the end of his mane than at the start of it.

Do you know his history? What he has perhaps been exposed to at all? It could simply be a little too much sunlight over the years.

I really don't know  about his history because I won him as a prize in a contest at the TP. He's been displayed in a glass cabinet that is inside but gets a little exposure to sunlight at times since he came to live with me.  Is that enough to make it fade?  I've tried to take good care of him since I know he's really sought after pony.

I honesty would not have thought a small amount of sunlight would make a different. But perhaps if he accidentally got a chemical or something on his hair years ago it may have been enough to damage the hair so that it is more susceptible? Or when he was a young colt perhaps he was simply over exposed to sun light?

Like said before me, any pony can fade if you look at my trades you will see a sweet scoops in there that has been left in the sunlight by likely some kid long ago..her hair is still vibrante but dull, I'd say he should be fine maybe shift him to a side where he hets the least light. Or but some thicker curtaions if you can.

I have ponies where the ends look lighter than the top, I call it brushing trama or dull ends. It's possable that your looking at a pony that had hair styles like a brade and hair tie at the end thus making it frizz and dull. Not sun exposer.

Its also possable that there was a leavein condishioner or some chemical like thoese who said this before used or left in the tips to try and fix the frizz.

It's hard to tell.. But I think its dull from brushing trama.

He is still one of the best I've seen by far! MINT, and not in color! Lol Mint condishion! Lol! Pun pun!

He still looks as grate to me as the day you got him.

I feel egy when I think my mlps hair is faded.. Like my baby nibbles and love melody, she was the last for me to complete my first year TAF and all the others I had sound before her where dull symbol and faded hair of pink hair and dull symbol. Figure that cuz I can't lol!

I'd hate to think mine are fading too. Meh but all is well since I have lots of curtaions on one small window bunched up 6 of em togather.

The colour doesn't look like a fadey kinda one, but who knows maybe he got a bleach bath or some kind of cleaning treatment BP (Before-Panyfan)

He looks quiet lovely as is, unless you notice a change I wouldn't be too worried.

sparkleinTheRain sent me a picture from before Ice Crystal came to live with me and told me he's never been bleached. I was really surprised when I found out I was one of  the winners in the contest.

Well the good news is I cant see any problems from those pictures. Where are you seeing the fade? In case I am looking in the wrong place? At the very tips of his hair? No one knows what he experienced when he was a young pony unless you actually manage to find the person who owned him from new but I think he looks great!

I want an Ice Crystal so badly DDD: sorry :p Whining aside, I think his stripe looks pretty even! Is it RIIIIGHT at the tips that is starting to fade? I would check my Ice Crystal but... Well, I don't have one.
