New Macbook Air! Share your tips and tricks!

Hi Pony Peeps!

I am typing to you from my new Macbook Air!  This is my first Macbook so I am looking for any tips and tricks that you may have if you have a Mac as well.

I don't have a MacBook but do you like it? I am going to have to get a new computer this year and not sure what to get. Mine is going out on me

I love it so far!  Though I am still getting used to it.  I have been a PC user forever and just took the plunge from a 6-year old HP Pavilion laptop.  I also have an iPhone and an iPad Mini so I am happy that everything is so integrated - you can pick up where you left off on any of the devices.

It's such a nice and sleek design too.  So lightweight and smooth.  If you live near an Apple store, or Best Buy because I believe they sell Apple MacBooks in-store, definitely go and play with everything there. 

You can also check out the Mac Rumors dot com site for all the latest gossip on Apple stuff.

Command + space bar brings up spotlight search

You can add colored labels and tags to folders by right clicking on them (right click is control click)

You can create gestures with the trackpad in system preferences > trackpad

If you like using the computer at night but worry about the effect on your sleep cycle, there's a free app called Flux that changes screen temperature depending on the time of day

In launch pad, you can see all your apps and make folders the same way you do on the iPhone or iPad

Thank you!! MidnightMocha I will be sure to try those out. I finally figured out how to get my printer to work yesterday lol.

I'm also getting my documents, music, photos etc. copied onto my external to move to the Macbook.

Question for you: do you recommend use any specific desktop publishing or photo software?
