The weather is making me nuts!!

So it's been above 100 everyday lately. That's normal. Several days above 110... odd, but alright.

Then yesterday this:

That's a giant wall of dust/sand coming toward us at 80mph, btw. 

Followed by a wind storm at 6pm, where we lost some shingles and 3 trees on our property. Our neighbors lost their dog kennels (they are breeders). Our weather station clocked winds at 99mph.

WHAT??? Seriously, a tornado?? I'm in WA. There aren't tornadoes here.

We have had 3 tornado's in the area this summer and I live in Northeastern NY.

Right now the temps are in the 50's for a high which is unseasonally cold. I should of stayed in Alaska.

Yikes that's scary! Usually you'd expect heat and tornadoes where I live - southern Tornado Alley. However, we had the tamest Spring I ever remember having (hardly any Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, and not a single Tornado Warning), and July and August have been much less hot than normal... In fact, five days during July we never hit 80, two of which we didn't hit 70. That NEVER, I repeat NEVER, happens in July/August where I live.

Normally I HATE the weather where I live, but right now I'm doing okay. Still looking forward to Autumn, though. 

Anyway, I hope nobody was hurt in the tornado. I hate those things.

I am so not gonna complain on the constant winds in my city again. The only thing they do is making it hard to bike and lift my hat from my head. Nothing severe in other words.

Scary weather! Ours right now has really dropped - it's 12C right now, usually we've been in the 20s this summer.

Wow I'm so sorry that sucks!

Our weather has been way off too. 100 degrees by noon then rain and 70 degrees by 3 and then flash flood warnings all over the place (I live in the desert!)

It's been very cold the last week, rain sleet and hail!! The highest it's been is about 12ºC (53ºF). At the moment it feels like 4ºC (39ºF), so I've had my thermals on all week and I'm still cold!!

Ohio is really cold for this time of year! We have had a very mild Summer.  I'm waiting for ya to get hit with another super cold winter.

I'm in Oregon, SpottedSlug and I agree. I feel like Mother Nature has been seriously schizophrenic this year. I was worried about tornados when the clouds rolled in but I thought I was being paranoid. Apparently I wasn't! Yeesh!

I hear ya! It's been unseasonably cold for MI this summer--which, honestly, I have loved because I am miserable when it is above 75F.

We had a pretty bad storm a few weeks ago (straight line winds, a lot of hail damage). My dad had a 28ft long branch from a tree in the backyard end up in the front yard--it sheared the basketball pole clean off, and that was anchored in cement!

And then this week, we had massive amounts of rain. Our freeways in Metro Detroit flooded, Governor declared emergency. Yes, that is an overpass you see the flood waters rising up to (Most of our overpasses have 13-15ft clearance, so that's a LOT of water).

So yeah...LOL. Our electric bill is low, which is nice! Our A/C is usually struggling by August, so I think it's getting a well-deserved break
