I am in desperate, desperate need (#collectorproblems) of two Novi Stars that are unavailable here in North America, and they are currently on sale at Argos! The two are listed here (Mimi and Vera) and I would shower with affection and good collector karma (and a finder's fee if you want!) anyone who can get them and ship them to me in Canada.

And thanks in advance to this wonderful, super helpful community of amazing people

I can always grab you a few. Unfortunately with Argos there is no way of knowing which ones they will bring out / send to you. So I've been ordering 3 at a time to even the chances that there will be 1 of each type. It costs about £4 pounds to ship them to me from the website though.

Let me know who you manage to track down - it looks like one of my stores has at least 1 of them in stock at the moment (no telling which of the 2 it is). I can always check if you want me to.

I can also do a text and collect - which means they will text if they get stock back in and give me the option to reserve. But again no guarantee of which of the 2 you will get. Thats assuming they come back into stock - is the massive price knock down for clearance?

Argos has been a pest today, so I've had to have some ordered in. I'll know by tomorrow which one I can definitely send to you. Sorry about the delay.

I'm super annoyed and frustrated right now. I ordered 3 from their website last night which all went through and then got a phone call this morning saying they only had 2 in stock and they'd refund me that one. Then only 1 turned up in the post today. I rang them again and they said there was a error made at the warehouse. 
Since they are being discontinued they are like gold dust in my area now.

Unfortunately the doll that did arrive is promised to the first person who asked me.
I'm going to ask my dolly collector friend up country if she can check her local one for me for you.

I'm so sorry, I feel like such a let down.

My awesome friend Leelominai on flickr has managed to get hold of a Vera Tabray for us. 

I'm still so sorry about all the mix up from this morning. Now we at least know which one we do have for sure, so Hathorcat can see if she can find a Mimi for you.

They are definitely being discontinued though and are getting much harder to find. Most of the Argos' in my area have none now.

I'll tell you something though - Novi Stars are turning up in a shop called Home Bargains in the UK . I think you can order online too but I'm not sure. There is one near me so I'll see what they have. I can make no promises but if other UKers have a Home Bargains Store nearby that is somewhere else to try if Argos is a letdown

Wow really? I'll have to check that out as there is one near me. May not be for a few days though.
