Need help with a symbol design

Hello everyone.
I want to make my shetland pony Ria into a my little pony design, and wanted to give her a flower symbol. I wanted to make it a combination between two of my favorite flowers, a red rose and a bleeding heart. Those flowers also represent my favorite colors, red and pink.
Now I can't seem to put the two flowers together and make it look nice. Is there anyone who'd like to help me out?

Oh wow archidraca - that is very cool!!! And here was me thinking a posy of flowers featuring them both would be lovely - this is much more creative and pretty!

Maybe the "heart" could have a drop of blood rolling off its tip, pooling into small red heart-shaped petals that form around a rose?

Ack! I want a cute pony too! archidraca's design is lovely; I think it combines the flowers in a very creative stylistic way.
