I'm new to being interested in dolls and have picked up a few used American Girl dolls on the cheap (currently waiting patiently for them to arrive
). I was reading about restoring them and came across a blog where the restorer used only Twin Pines products. She felt strongly about using them rather than Downy, etc, because the TP products are actually meant for dolls, vinyl and plastics.
My question is- do they work better that other things, like the 'Downy dunk'? And, do you feel they are worth the money? I can kind of see her point...maybe things like Downy seem to work now, but 20 years form now the dolls' hair will be weird or sticky because of some reaction we don't know about currently?
