Model horse frenzy!

I have lots of breyers and I'm working on getting rid of everything so I can have more room for My Little Ponies.

Big time model horse collector here, since 1973 actually.  Got my daughter hooked too.  As to how many, no clue after coming home with over 40+ from Breyerfest.  Also looking for older Breyers for the collection and certain new ones for customizing.  We will trade MLP for em too.

40 from Breyerfest alone? I have to see these!! :3 I live in Europe and I haven't yet attended the fest, but I hope in future I get to.

Although I had MLPs as a kid, I started focusing on Breyers almost exclusively in the late 80s. That collection is 1400+ (haven't gotten everything from BreyerFest in the database yet), 40-50 Hartlands & a dozen or so misc other brands. Not counting the MLPs. Or the porcelain/china horses...or the bodies waiting to be painted...Or the nearly 400 blind bags, cripes.

My house is full of horse shaped objects.

I am also the owner of a huge Breyer (and some Stones) collection.  And a few Hagen-Renakers.  And a couple Schleichs.  And a whole bunch of horse-shaped objects (like Barbie & Barbie-ish horses).  I haven't counted them in a very long time, but they take up most of a china cabinet (one shelf has dragons), several bookshelves, and an entire closet.  (Though to be fair, there are some MLP boxes in there, too.)
I've been collecting horse toys/figurines since childhood, and unless it broke beyond repair, I didn't get rid of it.

About 300 Breyers, mostly Traditional, some CM/ rrh
About 50 Peter Stones
30-40 Hagen Renaker horses, vintage and newer
 20 Artist Resins, 20 Animal Artisrty resins
And lots of other horses in smaller numbers: Beswik, Starlight Originals,  Grand Champion large collector QH, Sandicast, Hartland and tons more.

I can't even imagine a collection of horses in the hundreds. I'd love to see some photos of stuff n things 

I have some other horses I keep because they are the right scale for dolls (I am a scale snob and hate that Barbie horses aren't to scale for Barbies). The horses for 18" 'Next Generation Dolls' are the closest I can find to being right for my 16" fashion dolls. I need to repaint those too.

Darn it guys! I just looked on EBay for the fillies I am missing for my Saddlebred Weanling collection and now I am stalking some... Is it just me, or are prices way down from where they were 10 years ago? Yay for me, but sad for collectors who invested.

My Breyer horses are my big collection!  I adore them and just got some lovely additions to the herd at Breyerfest, too.  Unfortunately, until I can get another bookcase for my room for them to live on they are temporarily in exile on the dining room table, haha.  Hopefully I'll have time to deal with the bookcase in the next week or two!  I mainly collect Traditional size, and Stablemates, but I have a good amount of the other sizes, too.  Lately my Classics herd has been growing steadily!  And I love my Mini Whinnies!

Darn it guys! I just looked on EBay for the fillies I am missing for my Saddlebred Weanling collection and now I am stalking some... Is it just me, or are prices way down from where they were 10 years ago? Yay for me, but sad for collectors who invested.

It is right after Breyerfest so prices will be down a little and the poor economy has hurt models values over all.

Unless you're looking for a Pop the Cork you missed.    Those prices are still a little steep.

I collect mostly fantasy model horses & various lines.

Fashion star fillies
Fantasy fillies
Star Prancers
Secret Wish horse
Bella Sara fuzzy mini
She Ra (old)
Breyer Wind Dancer

and anything that used to be normal that was beat up & then I customized into fantasy...so it includes some Breyers, Kid Kore, Barbie, Grand Champions & basically anything with a good sculpt and combing hair you could replace. I love MLP & Fantasy horses/unicorns ...so if anyone else does too I can show pics of these lines or send a pm if you just wanted to talk fantasy horses.

Right now I am a little more focused on G3 My Little Ponies, going to swap with 3 persons and next week I go to my country's capital town to see if some shops still have them on shelves. *excited*
