Weird things your pets do...

I have a few pets, but my tabby cat jack has some really strange habbits. It got me wondering if other pet owners had anim a ls with strange things that thry do?

I discovered tonight he has a strange obsession with rocket balloons, the long thin ones that you blow up, let go & they scream around the room making a hell of a racket. He is terrified of plastic bags and sneezing, has been since a kitten, so it surprised me he didn't go into a hidey hole until the big mean balloon went away.

He also hates fish, he is the only cat I have ever known to turn fish down. Not a fan of seafood at all.

We have a metal kiddy safe guard around our heater, my cat likes to lick it...

My dog eats adhesive bandages. One day I found him with his beard all covered in those.

three cats.

Nymeria (big, black, fat cat) licks and fidgets. If you touch her she gets immediately super-happy and tries to get your hand on all of her at once whilst also trying to lick you to death. It makes it basically impossible to stroke her, thus infuriating her and causing her to try and "hug" (read: claw and bite) your hand onto her fur (whilst still wriggling around and licking). When she does stop wriggling for 2 seconds she likes to sit with her face buried in stuff (anything) and her butt has to be higher than her face, at a downward sloping angle. She also jabbers all the time, never meows.

She's incredbily fast though, never seen a bluebottle get into the house that she hasn't caught and eaten. (yuck)

My cat seems to like the washing machine for some odd reason; whenever I'm in the kitchen, she'll follow me in there, sniff the door of the washing machine for a good minute or so, then start purring and milling around near it. She also does some kind of war cry when she's chasing insects; she sneaks along the floor and makes this weird noise by rapidly clicking her tongue on the roof of her mouth. Very strange creature.

He's passed on now, but I had a cat that would answer the phone!!!

Repeatedly, we would come home to find the phone off the hook and wonder how it got that way. Then one day my mom's cousin told us that she had tried to call while we weren't home. When she called "somebody" answered the phone, but didn't say anything. She said "Hello?" a couple of times until she got the reply of "Meow!" Sadly, our cat never learned to take a message.

My cat is obsessed with water....if you fill up a dirty dish in the sink to soak she has to drink out of it...while my daughter takes a bath she sits on the edge of the tub and my daughter fills up little dishes of bath water for her to drink....and every time I get out of the shower she gets in the tub and licks the dripping faucet. I have no idea why...I always keep her bowl filled with water! I used to think she might have something wrong with her but she seems perfectly healthy otherwise.

She also is obsessed with trying to eat dental floss....if I am flossing my teeth she stalks me to try and get it....and if she does get hold of a piece she will try to eat it as quickly as possible before I can take it away!! Not play with it...she just woofs it down

So glad this thread was started, giving me chuckles this morning and that's definitely a good way to start my day!
My dog Sasha is a 6 year old Husky/Shepard mix and whenever I can't find her in her usual spot on my bed, she will be in the bathtub! Just sitting or even lying down sometimes in there. When I ask her what she's doing she just looks back at me like, "What? I'm just chillin'"

All my pets are weird. Sandy makes me laugh the most though. He likes to play with and wallow on each piece of food before he eats it and he wants everyone to watch while he does.

My rat Anastasia really, really likes to lick me.  I had a guinea pig once that did the same thing, I guess I'm really tasty!  Even better, I had another guinea pig named Cowboy years ago who would follow people around if you put him on the floor and would squeal loudly all of the time, when he was scared, happy, wanted attention, you name it!  What a character...

My King Charles loves to play frisbee, but every time you throw it she has to make a running lap around the entire house carrying it before she brings it back.

I had a dog once who used to eat socks and I had another dog ( who my mum now has) who loves eating cotton buds. She would eat the wooly bit first and then chew on the plastic. She would get so excited if she saw one and then go and hide under the bed so I couldn't take it off her!!
