What's the most you've ever spent on a handbag

Can you tell why I'm posting this? I just made a big style emotional purchase.  I have been lusting after this handbag ever since I saw it in Lars von Trier's Melancholia.  I just got a 6 week summer job so no holidays for me because I'm tied to staying in town. So I celebrate with... a grown up hand bag. Could have been mountain boys but I suddenly felt like a handbag! What can I say

I'm not a purse person, so... around $20, and then only because there were no thrift store ones available. But the most I have seen someone else spend, and it was someone here on the Arena, was $26,000. (No typo!) They justified the purchase by working out how much it cost per day, and if that was worth it.

i'm a satchel kinda girl, my current one is leather and i got it on clearance for 20 something.
it's technically a man bag (got it in the mens dept of wilsons)  but i call it a purse.
otherwise 15 is as much as i've spent.

Oh wow! Was it a special bag I wonder?! Must have been Hermes or something.  OK mine was £600 now I don't feel as bad. Plus, maybe I can divide it over the three years since I first wanted it! Works out at 55p per day I can't believe it, lololol! Plus I love Alexa Chung. Ha.

$10? $15? Maybe? Not much. I'm not really a purse person. I mean I have one but I'm not about to spend much on one. As long as it's pink and/or cute I'm good.

$200 I think, I don't remember.  It was the teal Coach Poppy Spotlight, and I wish they'd do another run of them because it was the best bag I've ever had.  Currently I'm carrying a $30 loungefly My Little Pony tote, lol.

Update, I just ordered Melancholia on DVD so now I can play 'spot the black Alexa' and celebrate my grown up bag

That is not to say I wouldn't enjoy more MLP bags too. There is one big G1 tote I would really treasure but I can never find it

If a wallet counts as a purse, then $9 for my MLP wallet at Walmart.

Other than that, maybe $2-3. I'm not much of a purse girl anyway, and any that I do use have come from yard sales.

I don't really have any handbags... Unless my Oswald the Lucky Rabbit shoulder bag counts. In which case, €30 I think? I prefer rucksacks

Mum bought me a wallet when I went to Japan in 2009, and I haven't needed to replace it yet. It's shiny and red and I like it a lot

The only bag I've ever really bought for myself was my Nightmare Moon messenger bag. I think it's great. Finally, space for everything! $40 plus shipping.

Maybe $20? I'm the Walmart/Payless/Zellers kind of purse shopper - and that's only when the current one starts falling apart. So the same one will last me for a number of years.

I'm not surprised at this really.  I imagine most pony people as being more interested in ponies and buying basic, fun stuff to wear and being quite down to earth about clothes and accessories. Maybe it's a reaction to having nearly bought all the G1s I have space for. Perhaps I'm more compulsive than I thought! Still I get a nice bag, so that's OK.

I have a friend that has an addiction to designer handbags (insane) -  her justification is that they are investments?  Hmmmm
