Taobao - bank transfer

It appears that my agent has had trouble with PayPal and branded goods, to the point where now they only want payment by Western Union or Bank Transfer for branded goods such as MLP.

I've used them twice in the past and been really happy but my gut feeling is that a bank transfer would be a bad idea! Has anybody else done this?

I think it is time to switch agents-

Although if you are having problems with buying the plush, that will not change-  I have never been able to get the plush from a Taobao seller.  No problem though with fakies and oddities though.  I use Taobaonow.com

I agree with finding another agent. Its just too much of a risk to not pay by paypal to these agents. I have known some to simply shut down and vanish over night while others, although great, can be very unsupportive on missing items [making you wait until they get refunded by their postal system before being willing to refund - which is typically long after a paypal window].

Also, as you are in the UK, you could find the international banking transfer fee pretty painful.

I had this with Taobaonow on my fourth or fifth order, because I raised a PayPal dispute I got blacklisted. The items never arrived.

And it's Taobaospree that have brought this rule in, I used them for my last few orders.

I might end up just accepting that I'll have to pay retail prices for G4 bait! One last shot at finding an agent..
