I knew something looked different about this seapony when I bought her  ;)   Does anyone have any information on this orange-haired seapony (or own one of these)?

*EDIT*  I have looked her over and will say she doesn't look dyed (no unevenness, no dyed plastic near the roots), nor does she look like a rehair. Her head is still glued, the hair seems to have a factory cut to it with the natural curl at the tips, no split root holes.   Aside from the pen marks on the other side of her, she looks pretty new.

I've never seen that before... Almost looks like the whole pony took a dunk in orange dye - I had a Posey that I made a custom out that I put in yellow dye to make her a slighty darker yellow - her hair turned such a lovely goldish color --that I kept it I was planning on re-hairing her..

I can't really tell from the photo, but the one on the right almost looks pearlized. O.o

She is :)   They're both supposed to be, but the one on the left is worn and not so pearly anymore.

Yes there can be 2 Sunshowers.
I had 2 that were not alike at one point as well. I'm not real sure why they're like that, it doesn't seem like fading or bleaching of 1 or something. Mine is not as extreme as yours though.

I too enquired about it ages ago.

They are both really pretty yet different. I bet they are like a mini-variant. Like how there is Light & Dark Fizzy, but less extreme. Or the 2 Boysenberry Pies, but not made in a diff place. (HK vs China)

wow she looks great! i think it's just from a different factory. It's common for this shade of yellow on the ponies to vary. Variants of SHS Twinkler, Sparkle Baby Firefly, and goldie locks have been found this way too... with both shades. Some ponies will have the light yellow in mane and then the darker gold color in the tail (or the other way around)

Thanks WingsOfMasquerade and Clipper for verifying this!   I may have to be on the lookout for other ponies with this type of variation ;)   I think I may have the baby sparkle Firefly and will have to check my Goldilocks variants.

Yes I ll second the different colours and that there are a range of them like this - Goldilocks is the most popular one to be spotted with this difference. They are super hard to find - so awesome addition to your collection!

Does that mean that the deeper yellows are worth a little more, or does the variation not affect their value?

In theory yes the darker shade is worth more. However this is one of those very minor variations which is not really sought after and even lesser known about. For that reason there is not a massive demand and it does not tend to do much about increasing the price.
