Seashell had quite the adventure!! Wow, those pics are great!

I think I forgot to include an explaination in my photos...Partner, many of your pictures are very busy and packed with goings-on. The back of the pics with ponies says "Where's the pony?" Or something like that. A pony is hidden in the picture "Where's Waldo" style! I was afraid that might be confusing if I didn't include the note explaining that...  >_<

I got a chance to upload some of Mareacooda's pics. Here are some of the ones that got sent along. I can narrate most of these, in fact, Mare and I took a few very similar pictures! Enjoy!

Spoiler
We live in a very rural area, so farm equipment is everywhere!

One of the natives~

Fiddleheads! They are a local delicacy. They are unfurled ferns. It may not sound appetizing, but they are served steamed with butter or vinegar. If you like spinach and asparagus, you would love fiddleheads. ;)

Grammy's Country Inn is famous up and down the length of the County. The food is amazing, the portions are HUGE and the prices are cheap, cheap, cheap! :P This is where Mare bought the whoopie pie she included in her box. It is the size of a dinner plate and weighed three pounds!

Houlton Farms Dairy is also a fixture in the County. Their dairy products are sold in almost every convenient store and grocery county wide. And there are Houlton Farms Dairy bars all over the place!

I had no idea Maine was that beautiful! I knew it was pretty, but WOW! When i think of Maine, i always think of the accent on the prison guard (the man with no eyes) in "Cool Hand Luke"..."What we have heeah is a failah to commoonicate!" when i was a child i loved the way he spoke, and when my dad told me it was his Maine accent, i asked if he had a Tail accent, too!! I think i was 6... :)

Everyone has such great boxes so far! Now it's time to share mine. Wyndeboo gave me a great box.

Cranberry Muffins! I've been wanting her for so long! Another Luna for my army. Toppy, now Big Top won't be alone anymore. And Sweetie Swirl.

My favorite scent from Bath and Body Works. They don't sell it at the one near me anymore so that was a nice surprise. And handmade soap made from goats milk. I've heard goats milk soap makes you skin very soft. I can't wait to try it.

Mmmmmm..... One of my favorite chocolate bars and strawberry marshmallows that are handmade in Mississippi. Neither of these are going to last long.  :P And a :muffin: Pony key topper. So cute.

Two photobooks filled with amazing pictures. My ponies went to some fun places. I loved the pictures of the sandcastle.

A letter from Wyndeboo, a postcard and some interesting brochures about places in Mississippi.

A nice t shirt from Biloxi Beach.

I have a few more photos I want to post. Unfortunately photo bucket is misbehaving for me. One is of a seashell and starfish. As well as two magnets made from Barq's Root Beer bottle caps. There was also a bag of kitty treats. My cats are going to love them. The other is of a beautiful beaded pendant Wyndeboo's mom made. She called it The Southern Blackberry. It was made from black freshwater pearls and is very pretty. I really hope I can get photo bucket working again so I can show everyone pictures of it. Wyndeboo, please tell your mom I loved it. And thank you for such a lovely swap box. I couldn't be happier with it.

I'm happy to hear you liked my drawings, cassstorm, I'll post some of my own photos later, but now it's time for my own brag! My partner was wonderful clones_rebellion from Maine.

I'm a bit dumbfounded by the amount of stuff, as well as the thought and time that must have gone into this box.

First up, the packet labelled "open first"

Oh my, what a cutie she is! I've wanted her for ages.

This is a scrapbook sorta thing, and I simply love it. I used different pages as backgrounds for my other pics, so you can see a bit of it. Wish I'd have had the sense to do something like this, it's like my own personal travel guide. I guess it just goes to show how awesome and thoughtful clones_rebellion is.

Maine related stuff, notice the caribou horn keychain with my initials.

All sorts of yummies for me to try! This is one of the things I was most looking forward, and I was not dissapointed. As you can see I also got a whoopie pie. It has since been eaten, and yes, it was delicious.

I am soooo happy everything arrived safely and you liked your box! :frolic: The ponies came easily for me this time, so my focus was on the cultural items. I wanted to include items from all over the state. I really wish I could have sent real lobster and fiddleheads and Moxie soda, but obviously they wouldn't have survived the trip, so I did the next best thing and included items that represented them. I'm so glad you like the whoopie pie! My hubby is addicted to them! I wasn't sure what to do for the scrapbook until I found the folder. Then it came easy. I was very proud of the results. I almost didn't want to send it! :P I'm thrilled you liked everything! I had so much fun putting it together for you!
