Are You Left Brained or Right Brained? O.o

I'm curious as to how many people here on the Arena or Right or Left brained :3 Or maybe both

Me. I'm all right brained. I need to be artistic and creative in order to function. Which probably explains why I wasn't good in math or any subject that required equations and whatnot. I always tried to incorporate art into my school work somehow and someway in hopes I grasped a better understanding to it But thank god I graduated (Class of '14, Whooo!!!  )

Now, onwards to the results! ^^

According to this test, I'm right brained. Even though I don't think I'm that creative and stuff. xD Even though in school I enjoy english and history over math and science so I don't know if that has anything to do with anything. 
Even though I'm not that bad at science and math either…

I would say that I am right, lets see what the test says

First time 78% left and 22% right. 

I did it again and got 91% left and 9% right.

I guess that does sound about right for me.

Left brained according to that test. Language is a skill of left brained people and I think that fits me well... I can learn foreign languages easily and have a natural knack for them I think.

But I'm actually an artist! I'm also an incredibly curious person which is characteristic of right brained people, so says this test. I would have guessed I would have scored more on that side.

Okay, I looked at how they score that and it looks like I actually answered a lot of things that would show right brained, except that I used my right hand and right leg and such which your left brain does.

Unfortunately, the left and right sides of the brain controlling certain skills is a myth. It's a misinterpretation of a study done in the 1960's that studied patients who had the connection between both halves of the brain severed:

The myth of people being either "left-brained" or "right-brained" might have arisen from the Nobel Prize-winning research of Roger Sperry, which was done in the 1960s. Sperry studied patients with epilepsy, who were treated with a surgical procedure that cut the brain along a structure called the corpus callosum. Because the corpus callosum connects the two hemispheres of the brain, the left and right sides of these patients' brains could no longer communicate.

Sperry and other researchers, through a series of clever studies, determined which parts, or sides, of the brain were involved in language, math, drawing and other functions in these patients. But then popular-level psychology enthusiasts ran with this idea, creating the notion that personalities and other human attributes are determined by having one side of the brain dominate the other.

I'm VERY right-brained, something that my teachers and parents failed to realize when I was growing up.  I always struggled with math and science (still do) and excelled in reading, history, art, etc. and I had a tendency to either pull out a book and read or pull out my sketchbook and doodle during class.  I was sent to tutors all throughout elementary and middle school and my parents just couldn't understand why math and science weren't clicking with me.  I told them around 10th grade that no matter what they did or how many tutors they sent me to, the material just wasn't going to click.  Myth or not, it seems to be the only explanation as to why I fail at math, science, and logic.

I think I'm pretty balanced, I like math and science but I love crafts too. But being left-handed, I think it comes more natural b/c you're always having to convert right-handed world ways of life to suit you.

The test gave a high score to right-brained, but it wasn't really accurate for me on some questions. My right eye is weaker, so to close one eye and look at something, of course my stronger eye is open.

I'm definitely right-brained! Or perhaps both...to be honest I think my only problem with math was terrible educators. They never took the time to explain the mechanics of problems to me, yet asked me to replicate them. It doesn't matter how many times you tell me 2 + 2 = 4, if you don't explain why that is to me I will come out with anything but 4 when I attempt it! But science has been a snap for me with the exception of chemistry, which I was terrible at for the same reason as my mathematical issues. I tend to be very creative and I have the talent to expand upon that creativity (I hope that doesn't sound too egotistical to say so myself!)!

Left brained. I can't do maths, but I achieve high grades in science.

I always thought of science as being part left and part right brained.  It requires a complex use of both sides:  creative and mathmatical/logical.  I never understood why "science" as a general subject would get lumped into "right brained".

I cant remember what the tests said.  I think im mainly right but a bit of left.  I love my science.
