Getting my new cat tonight! Pic added!

My mom and I volunteer at a no kill cat shelter called Angel Paws and about a month ago a cat was abandon at the door in a carrier with no name or note. The cat turned out to be a big sweet black and white lovable boy! A volunteer named him Drew.

I fell in love with him, he reminds me so much of my late cat who was 20 years old when he passed away. That I just had to have him and since I'm getting my last wisdom tooth out soon I asked my mom if we could adopt him and he could be my get well gift and said yes! So tonight is our shift at the shelter at the shelter and when we're done he's coming home with us!

Yay!! That is awesome. I got my cat from the SPCA almost 3 years ago now. She is a great pet. The sweetest cat I have ever been around. I am glad that Drew is going to get a wonderful new start in life!

You should post pics when he comes home! Are you going to keep his name as Drew?

Awww what a lucky kitty!  My Jasper was a street kitten and he and litter mates lodged themselves in a box of car parts.  A wonderful client of ours brought them in for exams and I fell into his sad little blue eyes (they are yellow now).  He's black and white too and just amazing.  As someone who never owned a cat before and was always a dog person.  I can say I adore both of them equally.  So much that last week Jasper got a new baby brother.

We're going to call him Bustopher Drew because he reminds us Bustopher Jones from cats. Like I said he is a very big cat!

We put him in a cage so he can get used to our other cats, we'll let him out a little at a time to get used to the house as well.
