G1 Question did baby ponies come with shorter ribbons?

I just put up a lot of pony ribbons on etsy and 2 of them were a lot shorter and i couldn't tell if they were because of damage or if maybe they were for baby ponies. Anyone know the answer?

Hi! My guess is that either the ribbons are damaged or they're not original MLP. It may just be the camera, but those two ribbons in particular look a bit thin and shiny in the photo to be original. I have a post about ribbons that may help:

It's a very interesting question if the baby ribbons are shorter, but I would say no. There's some variation in length of original G1 ribbons, but except for specialty ribbons (like Princess or Flutter ribbons), which follow their own rules, the ribbons are generally in the same ballpark as far as length and texture. The ribbons are long enough to tie a nice bow without being so long that there is enough left at the ends to droop--and this would be true for babies, too.

Hi  I'm pretty sure the ribbons for babies weren't made in shorter lengths, but maybe someone who has removed both babies and adults from sealed boxes-- and has them available to compare-- can say for sure.

I agree with Vale, those ribbons dont look original unfortunately. Baby ribbons were of the same length as adult ones
