Ring, ring, ring! Phone call, phone call!

I do own a cell phone, but it's relatively old in cell phone terms. It's one of those flip-to-open numbers. You can get on the internet with it, but it is not unlike getting on the internet back in those slow modem days. Such a teeny display too! No built in keyboard, you have to text by using the number pad. A rather slow thing to do.

Further more, I'm not much of a phone using type and not many people A) have my cell phone number, B) bother calling me anyway. As a result, my phone is never in my bedroom.

Now if I had a smart phone and could use some kind of sleeping-related app, then yeah, I could see myself having one nearby overnight.

I sleep next to my phone as it's my alarm clock.

My answer's not up there.  I sleep with my cell phone next to the bed because 1. it's my alarm clock and 2. in case there is some sort of emergency that I have to call for help about.  Most people that have my number know not to call me after dark unless it's an emergency, so I don't worry about getting calls/texts while I'm asleep.  It mostly acts as my security blanket/life line

I have a cell phone that I keep for emergencies. (It's come in handy when I've had car trouble.) It's in my purse and it stays off. I really hate phones in general, so mine is pretty basic.

I don't have a cell phone. 

However, I keep a small array of tablets next to my bed.

I keep mine next to me at night, but I have it set up for do not disturb during certain times at night.

I am one of the only people I know that doesn't have a cell phone. We have a house phone and that is it. Initially we got rid of it to save money but after awhile I started liking it. Not being able to be reached anytime...anywhere. It is kind of freeing. My mother in law always tells me that it is dangerous not to have a cell phone!!  I am like if that is the case.......how did our species survive the last 50 years??

I do want to add though that this is only if my daughter is with me. If I have to be away from her I steal somebody's phone

I answered 'yes but on sleep mode' but actually none of these really fit me. I don't like sleeping with it near me (light sleeper here) but I depend on the alarm clock on it when my kids are in school. So, school days it's with me, non school days it's not.

Since we don't have a landline phone, my hubby and I both have cellphones. The phone I keep with me is what we call the home phone, so it's the number that is used for important things (work, government, doctor, hospital etc.) and hubby's phone is for emergencies and he likes to call home and talk to me while he's on his breaks.

We have the same phone (different covers), both smartphones, but they are really only used for phone calls and texts. We just picked these ones because they had good reviews and were being offered for free through our phone provider

Cell's are always left in the livingroom on charge when we go to sleep. Although we do have an old cellphone that we use strictly as an alarm clock

Mine sits on the pillow next to me.  It's my alarm clock and I sometimes will read fanfiction or listen to music when I have trouble falling asleep.

I only have my cellphone in the bedroom at night during working weekends for cases like a coworker calling in sick, as an alarmclock or if my partner has been out partying and need to reach me for some reason. Everyother night I keep it on silent in the livingroom.

I don't have a land line. So my cell phone is always on and with me. It's an older model Blackberry. So nothing fancy but handy. I use the alarms to remind me to take daily medication.

If I don't know your number and I haven't been given a "heads up" about said number. It goes to voice mail, where I figure out who called. Then it's all good. I love having different ring tones and caller photos for my friends.

Those close to me know if I'm not answering my phone or texts to check in on me ASAP. Nice to know I have friends n family that care. And technology that keeps us connected.

It's right by  my head in case I get an emergency call. I also use it as my alarm clock so I have to have it on.
