Thank you...from myself and Schmutz

I wasn't sure where to put this, so please, Mods, move to where you feel is more proper.
As some of you know, my beloved dog, Schmutz was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last long weekend. In a frenzy to try and raise the funds for his vet bills, I've been selling ponies and was hoping to have at least a few more months with him. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen complications, he had to be brought back to the vet on Tuesday and I had to say goodbye to him forever. Thankfully, I was able to bring him home and bury him properly in back alongside his best friend, and my other best dog, Mumford. I miss them both terribly and have been a wreck since.
I wanted to thank everyone on his behalf for helping us by buying my ponies. Giving them up has been easy in comparison...I can always get more of those. If it weren't for you all I'd be lost in debt right now on top of being devastated by his loss. I really don't know what else to say....so here's Schmutz in better days, looking about as thrilled as he ever did about anything. I wish things had a better outcome, but having the Arena and the people here has been a relief and a Godsend, and I appreciate you all and all of your well wishes through this heartbreaking time.

I know it's difficult to say goodbye to our furry family members. I'm sure Schmutz was loved and cherished during his time with you.  Sending more hugs your way!

I know that words on a site isn't enough with comfort sometimes, and as hard as it is to loose a friend you can also recount how often they comforted and you and how you gave him the best life possible. Even grumpy looking in those photos you could tell that was a very happy dog.

He was, indeed, scruffy grumpy dog...he was old when i adopted him from the humane society 5 years ago...he was pretty much ancient now. I think he was, quite possibly, put on this earth to remind me that everyone can have a second, third...twentieth chance, and that giving someone or something that chance can make you the richest person ever to live. He made my life rich in love and laughter...I look forward to seeing him again when it's my time to go and i get to be reunited with all the animals and people I have or ever will love.

So sorry to hear about your loss.  Dogs really are man's best friend (which is why it makes us emotional wrecks when they go). He was a handsome little fella.
