So, I recently started watching Once Upon a Time...

...and what can I say? I'm totally hooked.

I started watching it because I knew a couple of my friends really enjoyed it. And now I really need more people to talk to about it--I watched the whole first season in about a week's time! What do you think of it? What do you think are its strengths/weaknesses?

Personally, I love the whole twisted-fairy-tale thing. I always have--the Sisters Grimm book series being among my favorite interpretations. And now I'm so attached to all the characters of OUAT! As for downsides, I admit I'm not usually one for watching shows containing adult themes. When I started it, I had no idea what to expect. After watching the first few episodes, I was a bit disappointed in how the writers seemed perfectly fine with including certain language and adult themes. I mean, come on, it's a show about fairy tales! But, that aside, I've really come to like the show.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't spoil anything past season 1! I'm only just starting season 2 and still have a long way to go.

Welcome to the club! Lol. I love OUAT. And I actually really love that they took the fairy tales into an adult context in some ways. I think it reay adds to them and makes them more relatable.

My sister and I love this show! It's just right for our family, and really reminds me of the kind of show we would watch with our mom when we were little girls... I think there may be an official thread around here somewhere, but it has tons of spoilers.

I don't think season 3 is being aired in the UK though as it has been dropped from channel 5 

Will have to wait for the DVD - it's really hard staying away from the OUAT thread on here - just really want to take a quick peek to see what happens!

I've been watching it on Netflix. They only have seasons 1 and 2, though... (curse you, slow Netflix!) I don't know when they'll upload season 3. I may just have to request it through my library once they get the DVD.

ITs a totally awesome show.. I found it by accident one day and fell in love!
the characters are just totally awesome! i love regina shes so wild!
season three was great.. not going to spoil it.. but the season finale ( the last five mintues any how) won me fifty dollars in a fan girly bet!!
