Making makeup for ponies?
« on: May 22, 2014, 06:45:47 PM »
I was interested in making a Big Brother drag queen pony with over-the-top makeup and all. I was wondering what I would use to make it look like he was wearing makeup without actually using real make up. Like using pastels or paint of something more along those lines. Any advice?

Never seen a drag queen pony custom before!  I think that paint would work great for the over the top eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lipstick you might have in mind.  I've heard some people use chalks/pastels to do blush on the pony's cheeks, and that it blends very nicely.  Hope that helps a bit! :)

Are you wanting it permanent or something you can wash off? I'd be afraid of something staining my ponies!

Watering down a pearlized/metallic paint (over a base coat) might work... That's what I did with her eyes. Took some mixing for the lipstick, but I went matte...
