Which is your least favourite generation?

If I have to pick one it would be G4, they just don't make them like they used to!

I like all gens but if i had to pick i would say G4.
The toyline is the most boring out of all generations and all the things that seem to be fun i have to import these days.
I miss finding good stuff in stores over here.

Another thing I miss are matching mother/baby sets like G1 had. What's cuter? Nothing!

Least favorite as far as what conditions? As far as actually collecting the ponies, G4 is my least favorite. They are the smallest, and poorest quality made ponies. (just look at the SIZE difference between G1 and G4) They always feature the same pony over and over again, and many do not have brushable hair. 

I don't necessarily collect all the ponies that come out, but I do LOVE the cartoon.

Very wise of you not to include G3.5, hehe!
I chose G4. But only because G4 is currently the gen I'm the least interested in (pretty funny if you observe my activity on the FiM Show board, I know).

I used to find the G2s weird and unengaging, but now that I have given them a shot (I purchased Ivy) I can see why they would be some people's favorites!
G4 had something going for itself back in the day with the first two cartoon seasons and relatively diverse toys and playsets. But now all there is to G4 is Rarity to me. She's that breakout character I started to love and she's the only thing that still keeps my interest in the cartoon up these days.

I would also like to point out that I think FiM was in the right place at the right time and looked the right way to make it so attractive for so many kinds of people. There is no reason I see why they couldn't do G5 by now other than "FiM is our cash cow now and we're gonna milk it until it dies"

Oh, so hard...3.5 easily, but since that's grouped with G3, I don't know!

I don't particularly like G2 or G3, but from a collector point of view, I like that G3s most resemble G1s. However, I do find them a bit boring even still, and with 3.5 included, that lowers my "like" of that whole generation. But G2s...I just can't get into them. I admit, they're growing on me, but eh...they're just so different from what I think of when I think MLP.

So I guess for now it's a tie between G2 and G3...

I really dislike G3 *runs for protection*. More the cartoons. I feel it's fluff to sell toys. I couldn't sit through the cartoons because I felt they didn't really go anywhere (except Runaway Rainbow, that one wasn't too bad). I also don't like Minty, but I like Kimono.

Toy-wise, G2 is my least. The style just weirds me out too much. Especially the babies... ugh.

my ranking for the toys from highest to lowest (and I generally just lump g3.5 in with G3)

1st place goes to G1
2nd place G3
3rd place G4
4th place G2

less interested:  G1   ( has to do with the condition some of they are, and the risk of cancer as well )

I honestly don't think I could choose a favourite out of the remaining three gens, I love them all equally.

I'm more into the toys than the cartoons with any generation.  So I went with G4.  I've tried watching the show, didn't care for it or the style.  Which makes sense since I never cared for Power Puff Girls.  The toys are ok.  They are some weird looking alien horses that could have been cute, but the size and quality leaves me feeling a little cheated.

Ohh nooooo... I'll have to go with G3! Even though I love them. G1 is my favourite, G4 got me started and I love pretty much all the characters, G2 has heaps of gorgeous families, princes/ses, and the winged unicorns to bump their popularity up.

I do love G3s but not many individual characters jump out at me except the ones that were made into the Aussie giant plush, and as 3.5 is combined and I only like three ponies from that entire line, that drags it down to least favourite.

I would go with G2. I love their styles and colors. Though I just don't care for their poses or the way they look.

G4 is my least favorite.  Very little variety in the available ponies, to me, they look the least like actual ponies, they're as small as previous generations' babies (excluding G2, of course...), and it's made being a long-time collector awkward for me when people assume that I'm only into ponies because they're currently trendy.  G2 would be my second to least favorite, but G3 and G1 are way too close for me to decide between

Since I can't vote G3.5...

Probably G4. I love all the main gens, (so meaning not G3.5) but I like some more than others. G1 and G3 are my favorites, then G2, then G4.
G2 and G4 just... Lack variety. So much. Hardly any poses, not a lot of variety in characters as far as toy releases go, releasing the same character, etc. Maybe there's more G2 than I know about though, they were mainly a EU thing. I just know Ivy got re-released a lot and I've seen a few that look just like her with a different symbol.
Don't get me wrong, I still have a bunch of G2 and G4, but they don't seem to attract me as much.

Maybe ponies are like Windows. Every other version is awesome... xD
