Two flutter customs

I got couple of flutters in a bait pony lot. They didn't have wings and the other one, Wingsong, was badly marker stained too. I wondered a long time what to do with them and finally decided to customize Wingsong completely and give Lily just customized wings because there was nothing else wrong with her but the missing wings.

I haven't made wings for ponies before and had a hard time to figure out the material for them. I saw some custom wings that were made out of something called "angel/angelique film" but couldn't find it with that name. I'd very much appreciate if anyone can tell some trade name or such for that material?

Anyway, I found shrink plastic and decided to try and make the wings using it. I think they turned out quite well, actually, but I wish I've had better markers or some glitter paints to colour them. I only had these cheap glitter markers and I couldn't make coating smooth enough with them. But what's most important, my little flutter girls have wings now!

And here's Springdrop. In her past life she was a Wingsong. I painted her in Vallejo's Game Colors and sealed her eyes in gloss varnish. Her hair is Dolly Hair's MLP hair, colour is Oyster Shell. I wanted to keep her quite simple so she's got a symbol on the other side only and a little drop under her left eye.

I wasn't sure how wings would turn out because I've never used the shrink plastic before but they look quite nice really. But I must buy better markers or some metallic paints for them! I'm sure I'll make more of them when I find more wingless flutters
