Party Time with a black eye lol...(sunfading question?)
« on: May 09, 2014, 06:49:35 PM »
So I have this Party Time she has some regrind but also has this odd bluish mark by her eye. I will try to get pics latter but it may be ink? My question is since she does have regrind would it hurt her if I tried to sunfade this one mark? Regardless I love her the regrind is very minor and her hair is very soft (she does have a minor trim)

The joke around our house is Party Time partied too hard and got into a bar fight (hence the black eye).

Does it look like an actual under the surface bruise? Believe it or not that could be an age mark - sometimes they appear  as though they are bruises under the plastic.

If she has regrind already, I dont see any harm in trying to sunfade the mark assuming its not an age mark - always worth a shot!

You might consider trying to cover the majority of her body with something to protect the rest of her when you try it.  I don't know a whole lot about the actual process of regrind and the like forming, but my vague understanding is that it's a breakdown of chemical components in the plastic.  The sun might encourage that breakdown, and so I'd take precautionary measures to protect her body, if the rest of it isn't reground? regrinded? too badly :)

Do you have pictures?

If its an age mark you may want to hold off on sun fading as that could make it worse.
