I made a back card for me and my fiancés ponies

I'm so excited to present to you my latest piece with art; a back card!
It may not seem super impressive but it was so much fun to make and my partner helped me write the story up, which just adds to the cuteness. It started as just me wanting to draw my pony in G1 style, but I ended up looking at original arts and going from there...
It was such a nice relaxing thing to do after sorting ponies all day long.

Eventually we'll be making our ponies too, just have to get the right kind of bait for them. I am so happy how it turned out as I just love G1s.

That is adorable.  Where did you find the base for the backcards or did you make it yourself?

I found a card online somewhere and used its measurements as the base, sort of tricky cut and paste process to make it look right. I looked at 2-5 cards in order to find everything I needed in the process as some pictures were too low of a resolution.

I actually went ahead and made a reference sheet out of the images, including Rainbow Curl versions because my partner like them;

Thanks cat! I'm planning on making both of ponies eventually as customs, so I needed to make a new reference sheet  and with that came color corrections/change. I honestly like my pony more now despite it being so pink.

I got a perfect base for my pony, I just need to find a pony for my partner now. I got a preferred base and I'm hoping I can get a hold of a pony in the right color.

I'm so jealous of pony couples.  I play the CCG with my boyfriend but he's not the artsy type to appreciate if I made something so awesome.  That back card is awesome.
