Out of all the stuff they showed at the NY Toy Fair, I am looking forward to this the most. Primarily because it's the closest thing I'll get (in terms of official merchandise, at least) to Heavy Metal Ponies. Sure, the designs for some don't work as well as others, but RD, Celestia, and Pinkie I'm really liking.

Hmmm. I definitely don't care for the painted on scarves and necklaces etc, would have to cover those up with something "real", but have a feeling the rest of it will grow on me eventually. I like Pinkie Pie's "Kiss" eyes, and totally agree with whoever said RBD's eyebrows look like an old man's wild brow hair. Heh.

Wait Wait Wait.

No Spoilers, but that Celestia is almost directly form the IDW's Comics,  Issue #18.  The one with the Sombra story line!  Cutie Mark, Socks.  I just read it.  I'm sure that's the reference! 

I bet that's how they'll market these.. a tie-in to the comic plot line!

Rarity's face really looks odd to me. It looks like she's wearing a sock over her horn. What is that pink thing, a bow? Why is it halfway down her nose & accompanied by an off-center diamond? Oh well, not as bad as Celestia!

I can't get over the fact that they look like KISS.  It's not my cup of tea.  I just want some different characters, not an army of the same ones, even is they have 'socks'.  If this is the TRU set for the year, and it looks like it is, I'm going to be pretty disappointed.  Any word on what the single is?
