Tea Lily hair loss issue
« on: April 20, 2014, 12:47:54 PM »
Ok so has anyone else had any issues with their G3 baby tea lily having a really bad hair loss issue??? I'm just in the process of moving my pony collection around and when i've come to her, i picked her up and all the pink from her mane just fell out. I mean every single plug. The pink in her tail is still there but i just checked and some of that seems to have come out too. Not one other pony has had anything similar and the green in her hair is fine, it just seems to be the pink. Anyone got any ideas as i'd rather not have any other ponies have this lol

I had the same problem with Jazz Matazz, who I was trying to sell.  Saw a topic about her hair falling out.  Checked mine and her pink fell out in chunks.  Now I'm not sure what I will do with her.

I'll buy her from you as a bait for an alternate rehair if you like

I'm not sure if it is relevant to this particular pink color, but I've heard that certain more vibrant hair colors often end up losing their vibrancy over time and eventually falling out.  I think it's called hair rot.  Good luck with Tea Lily!

I had this happen to a thrift store pony rescue, her hair was literally rotting off her in clumps, I re haired her as a blonde.

Yeah so far the baby that came with her isn't having any issues.  She doesn't have any pink in her hair.  The other colors in Jazz Matazz seem to be ok so far.

Its common for that color pink to rot and fall out in G3's. I was going to try and dip a Green Apple's hair in a sealant once to see if it would save it to make her have hard hair for life, but never got around to it. I figured it would be like having a pony with plastic hair like some of the G4s.

It is certainly most common in that particular hot pink colour but the neon orange and neon greens are also a little prone to it unfortunately. For some reason the hair is not as compatible with the glue as other colours and it simply rots right through - its obviously a little unstable as it is also the colours most common to simply breaking up over time.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
