Pony shelves in your closet?

My ponies are starting to get crowded on the bookcase where they are displayed. This morning I was in my closet and I thought "this would be great for ponies!"
Of course the shelf would have to be on top of where the clothes are. Would they look weird up over the clothing? I am just wondering... Does anyone have pics of how they share space?

I have Sebby6 and her husband here for the weekend and we transformed my coat closet into a MLP mecca!! I think it's a great idea, especially if you are pressed for space (like I am)!

I don't have any pictures, but all my G4s plus a few other things are on the top shelf of my linen closet, since I can't reach up their easily to store things I use anyway.

my  dad    put shelves  in my   closet with   a  couple  nails and boards right over my dresser

I planned on doing this! I wanted to put some shelves in there, ponies getting crowded in totes! We have a large walk-in laundry room/closet that is only filled with my toy collection atm.  Our place isnt that big and its the closest to a toy room that I will get for now. Id love to put some floating shelves in there and finally display my ponies!

My friend Noasar used to display hers in her sliding door wardrobe, it looked fab and a great way to store/kind of display your collection.  I'm moving next week (more bedrooms/bigger house but my own room will be smaller than my existing one) so I'm going to be looking for storage and display inspiration myself too!  Along with continuing to sell some along the way x

Here you go! I just put them up a few days ago. I have my book shelf on top of my entertainment center in the closet , and I have curtaions so I can cover them up

Thanks and they are black out too so I can hide em away and save them from getting pale. Fadeing pink hair is sutch a pain..

Ponies can live anywhere! They are a pretty hardly little bunch

Before I needed a while pony room and while the ponies were small in number, my ponies used to live in the library displayed in front of books They always bring a little bit of colour and fun wherever they go! I am sure they will look great displayed in the closet.

Some of mine are in a closet. I have some of my pony dvd's on the shelf, topped by ponies (usually the new arrivals) but only a few, or I'd never shut the door!

I have my MIB G3's displayed on shelves in my closet.  It's not my first choice of place but with space at a premium it does the job.  Keeps them dust free too

I think an organized closet is a perfect pony space - there are some fantastic organizers out there who turn closest into offices and playrooms, and a display space is certainly no stranger than that! 

I actually keep all but three of my ponies in a basket in my guest room closet, although it's not really the same as the set-up you're considering since it's pure storage rather than a display.
