How can I avoid smooze?

I've read something about cleaning smoozed ponies in hot water to remove the smooze, but I'd like to stop them to getting it again...

Some people think it is mould, but I am one of the ones that believes it is ingrained dirt. As long as your ponies are kept clean there shouldn't be a problem.

But yeah, just keep them clean and you should be good.

It is ingrained dirt although sometimes that is due to an accumulation of dust which builds up over time. Just keep the ponies clean and you should be fine
