I haven't really shared many photos of my collection on here and rarely make a brag post, but I thought I'd share my collection as a whole to show how far I've come. I thought it would be neat to go through old photos on my compute and look at how my collecting my little ponies started out, from just having 7 from my childhood to now over 1000. Let me share my story on my collecting journey:
For many years, I kept a small lot of ponies that were bought by my mom or given to me by relatives. I only picked out one and that was Sherbet.

All but Kingsley were packed away in a barn for 5 years, before I moved again. Over the next 5 years, I slowly dug through the junk barn and pulled out my childhood ponies from plastic bags of stuffed animals, never forgetting I had them. When I moved again in 2002 to my current home where the barn was, I proceeded to save the rest and in 2004, looked them up online to find out their names. I wanted to get more of them, not realizing at the time the hundreds of variations and series that were made. I only successfully got 2 from an online friend I traded toys with: Princess Tiffany and bride pony which I kept because she had a custom earring from her previous owner
and an Applejack, Bowtie and birthflower Holly from a flea market seller. Fast forward 2006, I buy a tiny lot off ebay that had a Party time and Peachy. I didn't seriously consider collecting 'til the following year, June 2007.
They started out on a tiny shelf in my once cramped closet.

It stayed this way for several years 'til a storm ripped part of the roof off my room, causing water to ruin the walls and ceiling and forcing me to move my beloved ponies into storage totes and into a safer, dry room. My shelves had been ruined beyond repair, but they were cheap, shoddy made so it was no real loss to me.
In a slow and time consuming progress, my room was stripped down, re-walled, painted and put back together. My ponies stayed boxed up in their plastic storage bins for many months. Then in June 2013, my dad and I went to an outdoor flea market to look for shelving and my dad happened to spot a sturdy, well made shelf for only $45! We bought it and I brought it home and made some adjustments to it so I could fit as much of my collection as I could. And today....

My dad took the measurements of it and I helped him build another, longer shelf to keep my nirvanas on! I'll have pics of that up soon in the Nirvana forum since it's still a work in progress!
That is the story of my collection and I hope you enjoyed it! I'll be adding more pics soon once I finish organizing everyone!!
