G3 pony disaster :c
« on: April 04, 2014, 06:01:58 PM »
I have these G3 ponies that have sharpie all over their bodies. I don't get much sun where I live,so sunfading isn't a option for me sadly. Can anyone help me? I would also love To know what colors are in Daffidazey's mane and tail.  Please many ponies need your help. Sensirely, Primmy

I'm afraid with G3 prices being what they are, it would be much cheaper to just snag new ponies rather than trying to rehair/repair them.  If you do though, sunfading is the only thing I know of for sharpie, and even that is a little iffy.  Sharpies are rough.

Hi Primmy! I personally don't get a lot of sun where I live either so I've never tried to sunfade. What color are your marked-up ponies? If you have a few white ones, you might want to consider purchasing a product called Remove-Zit by a company called Twin Pines of Maine. It might be about $20-$25 with shipping, and I do NOT recommend using it on ponies that aren't white- it will fade them, saddly :( But I had really great results getting red marker of a G1 Scoops.

That's the only tip I have; hopefully someone else can give you more. Have you tried to match Daffidazey's hair colors with shades on Dolly Hair? Off the top of my head, the blue looks like Water Nixie.

Colorscapeart has a good point about the cost of replacing vs restoring G3s. Still, it always feels so great when you are able to save a pony and make her look (mostly) new again. Good luck with your ponies! ^.^

If your going to rehair why not try an alternate rehair with what colors you think would look good? Them post pics in the alternate rehair thread ;)

There are these full spectrum light things. I think they are called Ott-lights or something like that. They can be used to sunfade without sun.

:O oh my gosh where can I get the lights? And thanks to all for helping me. Most of my ponies have black and dark blue sharpie and Daffidazey has a turquoise
