I feel the same way Mikeys, I personally tend to buy like... only fantasy colors (except white? black?) but lately have been really trying to find new ways to incorporate colors like browns and grays, things that might not be "normal" on the fantasy background of the MLP body. There are so many wonderful ways to use and combine colors, I think this swap is fantastic because each rehairer has a different color eye and style and we get to see how lovely they all are here!

I personally am the type of rehairer who will say (so, whoever my partner ends up being, be prepared for this) - I like all colors, I trust your eye to make a cool rehair matching the bait you choose to colors. Because I like to have the person making it for me have a bit of say in what they create as well.

I know once we get going with partners assigned and everything that people ask A LOT of follow up questions... a lot more specific things like:
-How do you feel about tinsel/fizz?
-Do you prefer solid colored rehairs or multi-color?
-Do you prefer stripes over blends?

etc etc etc - so again just if anyone is worried that the short list of questions at the front may make things seem very "restrictive" (potentially), once we get moving we should have a lot more questions (and I have a list I can post as well once we're all partnered up) that make it easier for everyone to get to know their partner and their partners tastes.

One other thing that I think was helpful is in other swaps (not this one in particular) - members of the swap would post a photo of their collection of whatever it was, so here - like, if you had a picture of your display where you have rehairs, maybe people can get an idea of what you gravitate towards in that fashion? So that's just another idea to think about as we move down the line here!

so...I'm interested....but

I'm concerned about finding enough baits that will fit my partner's likes. (3-5 baits is a lot to me)
because rehairing has become so popular, it's becoming more difficult to find suitable baits for rehairing LOL
I have recently acquired some rehair baits, so I'm probably fine, but it's a legitimate concern.
I don't want anyone cutting off a full mane from a pony with "issues" (I'd like to trust that people are only using ponies with BAD haircuts or NO hair, but I've seen people fully customize MINT ponies before ...) 
I'm picky about baiting G1s, which is why I love rehairing b/c it gives new life without fully customizing, so I'm just voicing my secret fear 

I'd also like the final word on if flutters and wingers are adults or babies

Flutter = Baby

Mostly due to cost and availability, not size...

I believe that's how people felt anyway? - Correct me if I'm wrong guys?

I understand about being picky about baits. My bait bin is a SAD lot of ponies... but I'm becoming er... more aware of the issue of people baiting "pretty decent" ponies just to rehair them.

I hope this swap doesn't make you feel like that will happen due to increased temporary bait demand? There's also a stretch of time to shop and whatnot so, while there may be a rush when we first get partners, usually demand dies down within a few weeks...

Okay guys!

So, I did put it out there that I would be willing to take 1 more (total of a nice bakers dozen) if anyone else REALLY wants to join and hasn't signed up yet but we are now at 12 people!!

I am going to start organizing all of your answers that you sent me and work on partners. I hope I can have partners out either Sunday or Monday! That should give us a little more than 2 weeks extra (than the posted dates) for time to work! 

There are a few questions I need to ask the group before I do pairings:
-Do you have dogs?
-Do you have cats?
-Do you smoke (or have any smokiness that might be affecting your ponies?)
-Do you wear perfumes on a regular basis?

ATTENTION: I forgot to mention that another major flaw would be MAJOR symbol rubs (that affect, let's say, more than 50% of the symbol)

I have a dog - no hair on ponies, but can't promise no hair in packing tape

No smoke!
Yes perfume (BPAL), but I try not to wear it when working on ponies, especially the rehairing stage
*edit to add that none of my ponies or customs end up smelling like perfume in any way

Deflocks ok? Yes, especially if they don't have a NSS version. Also ok with still flocked. Also, I didn't add them to my wishlist as they are HTF as baits, but deflocked Twilight or Twist as rehair or bait would be awesome too.

marking the rehair - I mark mine on the bottom of a hoof. I prefer you do that over a neck seam so I can see easily who did it, but regardless of where, please mark it!

Extras? socks! I especially love sockdreams.com No ankle socks! I always like finding a pair of good, WARM socks.
BPAL - if you collect, I'm always game for imps (NO ROSE notes)
fabric fat quarters (cotton) as I use those to make my custom plush (subtle patterns are good; I just want it to complement the pony not overshadow the cutie mark)
sour gummy worms
if you're international, I always like trying local treats from your area that I cant get in the US

Do you have a preference of stripes vs solid colors or full out blends?
How do you feel about tinsel/fizz/thermal/UV/Glow in the Dark hair?
answers to both should be in my info, but if you're doing a "solid" maybe do a solid blend of 2+ shades? (like the purple haired cotton candy I've done). Also ok with solid with 1 strip, mult stripes, rainbow, multi blends, fizz, GitD. Not a huge fan of thermal/UV

I normally like pegasus ponies, but going through my likes/wants for this swap, very few if any made the list

I'm ok with unstyled or legcurled. if it really calls for straw curls, then ok, but not too skinny. no up-dos please
