G1 Brushes and combs - Are these fakes? Replica's? Alternate versions?

I'm not too experienced with accessories, so I was hoping someone who is might be able to help me?
I got a few new brushes and combs recently from someone on ebay. However I noticed something a little strange when they turned up..
The new combs that I bought are significantly bigger than the ones I currently have (I've pictured them next to Sunlight's pink brush and comb for comparison), and the bristles on the brushes are much thicker.
There's also a number '6' on the brushes, whereas I can't see any number on Sunlight's brush.

Did I buy fakes?

The brushes are the ones from the retro release rainbow pony sets.  I'm not sure on the combs, but they may be from the other retro sets as well.

Oh, why did that never occur to me?! Wow, I feel stupid!  I forget about those retro sets most of the time.

Although they are the retro sets, it has always given me hope that out there somewhere is the ability to make more G1 combs and brushes
